Motel 6 Twentynine Palms, CA

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! WORST PLACE I'VE EVER STAYED AT! I've stayed at several motels from the same chain around the country, this one was BY FAR the worst yet. Rooms are FILTHY. Dirt and grime in every corner, pubes and long hairs in the bathroom floor. I had a non-smoking room, which had CLEARLY been smoked in. IT STANK. Fire alarm went off at 11pm after I had fallen asleep, it went on for about 10-15 minutes before it was turned off. Other guests had started to sleep in their cars at that point and I was about to do the same. Didn't feel safe either, lot's of sketchy people loitering around at all hours. You're definetly better off sleeping in your car. Couldn't PAY me to spend another night here. Do yourself a favor and spend the extra 100$ to book a room at the Holiday Inn across the

Old and dated, which would be totally okay with me. We don't care much about decor because we only sleep in the room. It is a good thing too because our room had no decor. None. Not a single picture on the wall. The worse part was that the room was dirty. Bed and linen and towels appeared clean, but every flat surface in the room was sticky gross. Shower pressure and temperature were good but the towels were a joke: tiny, thin, and rough. The bathroom also had not shampoo or lotion. Just a bar of soap. The room was cheap but I'll pay a little more next time and hope for more at another nearby hotel.

Positive: Bed was good and priced well Negative: Blood on floor in first room but they gave another room right away. Small pillows and only 2 not enough towels. Strange men all hours walking or sitting outside bumming smokes and money.

I’ve now stayed at this property twice—once for an extended stay and again for a weekend—and both experiences were excellent. It’s a really nice property, clean rooms and the front office staff are not only helpful but genuinely friendly. Caren and Heather along the the others were especially wonderful: always cheerful, attentive, and eager to help. I would absolutely recommend this property to anyone looking for a comfortable and welcoming place to stay in Twentynine Palms. I’m sure I’ll be back!

This place is horrible. What it didn’t have - outlets to charge anything, toiletries (just a bar of soap), breakfast. What it did have - a bottle opener attached to the vanity, cigarette burns on the bathtub, a very noisy bar fridge, toilet paper that can only be described as “what’s less than one ply?”, sheets that were so overbleached that I needed to sleep with my own pillow and blanket (which I had with me), bath towels that only work if you’re female and 5’6” or under or you’d have to choose between covering your upstairs or your downstairs, and beds that killed our backs.
