Motel 6 Troy, OH

The room was wonderful. Clean and all. The problem comes with the daytime front desk guys and the housekeepers. This property is doing some shady stuff. At check in you are required to give a $50 cash deposit for incidentals. That was fine I kept my receipt and when I went to check out they told me I wouldn't be getting my deposit back because I stole sheets and a couple towels from the previous room I stayed in, had to be moved from 2nd floor to first floor due to disability. When I explained that we gave those things to the housekeepers and never received clean ones back I was told that was my problem and not theirs or the housekeepers. The property is nice but the 2 guys during the day are rude as heck.

Positive: We had 2 dogs with us and our room was across from the dog area and really quiet. Negative: Disabled and the tub was stick and was afraid of falling.

Absolutely disgusting. I stumbled across this hotel when I stopped for gas in Troy Ohio after being on the road for 17 hours. The parking lot was full of decent looking vehicles and they had availability so I what the heck at this point I was absolutely exhausted. After check-in I headed to room 122. When I opened the door the room did smell musty like a dirty old man, but I thought to myself this is a pretty old motel 6 what do you expect... At this point I just wanted to close my eyes, I didn't even turn on the lights we just hit the beds. About 7AM I woke up to use the bathroom, when I turned on the light I realized this place was environmentally unsafe. Mold, urine, hair, dirt, dead bugs and cobwebs... it looked like this place hadn't been cleaned in a very long time. I instantly went

We got a room with the hot tub. Ewwwww. As bare as you can get. Walls were bare, room stunk of stale smoke and there were cockroaches in the room. They moved us from the ground floor to upstairs. The 2nd room stunk of stale smoke but at least there was pictures on the wall. Very outdated. Old worn out carpet and 2 old tube TV's with only 1 remote that didn't work on either television. The hot tub did work and and that made the evening relaxing. I didn't see any bugs of any kind in the 2nd room. For the price though I would keep driving and go somewhere else.

This is the 2nd time we have stayed here. The first time was great. This time... the night staff was not friendly. We payed for a Jacuzzi suite. The jets on the tub didn't work. There was long brown hair from the previous guest in both the shower and Jacuzzi tub. The gross part was seeing how dirty the floor was after scooting around on a towel while my feet were drying. The white towel turned black within minutes. Definitely wore my shoes the rest of the time.
