Motel 6 National City, CA

Honestly, I didn’t have a good experience at this Motel 6 in San Diego. The room was not clean — there were stains on the sheets, and the floor looked like it hadn’t been mopped in a while. The bathroom had an unpleasant smell, and the towels looked old and worn out. The area around the motel didn’t feel safe, especially at night, and there were people hanging around the parking lot who made me uncomfortable. The staff didn’t seem very welcoming or helpful, and when I mentioned the issues with my room, nothing was done about it. The walls were thin, so it was noisy most of the night, and it was hard to get any rest. The only decent thing was that it’s in a convenient location near main roads, but overall, I wouldn’t stay here again. They really need to improve cleanliness, safety, and cu

I wasn't sure what to expect from Motel 6 in National City. My landlord had to make a repair in my apartment and paid for my daughter and I to stay at the motel one day. It was very clean and quiet. Check in was very easy and the clerk had her cleaning crew clean a downstairs room immediately since I get around with a walker. They were done 20 minutes faster than she quoted! They have regular cable which was nice and their location is near many restaurants and a CVS is right across the street. I would definitely stay here again!!!

I had a very pleasant stay here (3 nights total). The staff was courteous and friendly. The room was large, clean, and everything in it worked properly. The housecleaning staff was respectful of our privacy. Bonus - this motel is very close to several major chain grocery/pharmacy/super stores as well as a variety of good places to eat. If I had any compaints, there would only be 2 minor things to mention. We arrived somewhat late and when we tried to get into our assigned room, the keys didn't work. We had to wait for the front desk clerk to assign us to another room and bring new keys. It didn't take long and wasn't a big deal. The only other thing was that the lighting in our room could have been brighter. It was a bit dim for me.

Well check in was very good, staff was very professional and helpful. I had a really hard time getting into my room it was very hard to open the door a guest used his shoulder/body too push it open. Then I couldn't get the TV on the remote wasn't working i pushed the button under the table but apparently I turned it off. Got locked out of the room again when I went to the front desk for help. In the end it all worked out, the door needed a new key, she flipped the button on and after a few minutes I was able to watch TV. The room was very nice and comfortable, the bathroom spotless and the shower was absolutely beautiful.

Girls in the office are extremely friendly. Not happy that the fridge and phone didn't work. Walking distance to a great selection of food and shopping choices. Overall, it's a nice place to stay and will probably make a regular stay while working in the area.
