Best Western Plus Marina Gateway Hotel

My husband and I loved our stay at this hotel. The hotel is well-maintained and super clean from the lobby, to the pool area and the gym. And also they have a lovely coffee station! They have a business center as well that we were able to use anytime. It's a pet-friendly hotel and they have a huge parking area. But most of all; I loved the service provided by the staff. The frontdesk Marisa, Danny and Reyna went above and beyond to cater all our needs, the housekeeping team are all so polite and helpful. And they have a wonderful GM and AGM. 10/10 all the way! This is a hotel to come back too, it's a home away from home.

Unfortunately I stayed here for 10 nights, it was long enough to see a hotel wide pattern of maintenance failures. I asked 3 days in a row for repairs to my door which had a faulty hinge. The 3rd time management looked me in the eyes and said there was no issue, my door was working as expected and didn't need any repairs. I let it go and was surprised on the last day of my trip to see the fualty hinge (that was not needing to be replaced according to management) had been replaced and my door was fully functioning! Additionally my floor had one set of elevator buttons out of operation for 6 days until both sets of buttons were out of operation and I had to literally walk downstairs and inform the hotel that the elevators could not be called from my floor. Positive: The staff, they apologized for the parking situation because it is out of their control. Negative: The property shares space with other venues. I had to circle over 40 minutes to park. There is no designated parking just for the hotel. No off-street parking asan option. If I could have canceled my reservation I would have. The staff is great.

Would definitely stay here again. Hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating to my needs. Had to use room service once. My needs were quickly met. The only complaint I had was that the shower wasn’t hot enough for me. Though my son said it was just fine. There is a restaurant within easy walking distance from the hotel & a bar next to it. I found it easy to get to all the places I wanted to eat and visit.

Well the hotel is clean and has parking do not expect any view of any water or Bay or Marina. Unlike most other Best Westerns this property does not offer breakfast and the coffee offered is quite minimal and basic as is the workout room which is essentially a treadmill in an unused room. The current front desk lady is gracious and delightful and does her best. Unfortunately for the hotel a very loud restaurant and disco and bar has taken over what used to be a very Charming restaurant in the parking lot. There is no breakfast nearby and you have to get in your car and drive across the freeway and try to get into a very very busy Denny's to get breakfast. Unfortunately this neighborhood does not have many other Hotel options aside from the $400 a night new Gaylord Resort property so if you
