Motel 6 Monterey, CA

We stayed here for a weekend getaway, rooms were clean, housekeeping was attentive, prime location close to downtown Monterey, Carmel and Big Sur. I just wish they had smart tv's to connect streaming apps, and the walls are extremely thin so you hear a lot of outside noise, Overall, I would definitely recommend you stay here, the price was also very competitive.

Rooms were okay but the service was terrible. The front desk was very rude. When I tried to get assistance for change for the coin operated laundry room since there's no change machine, I received a lot of pushback and was told that I have to go to the drug store nearby and either get quarters or get $1 bills to put into the vending machine and then get a quarter refund. Plus the water was out for hours the morning after check-in and I was not notified. Even the toilets were out of commission. When I called about it at about 9am, they could not give me an estimated time. And when it was resolved at about 11:15 am they said I could have a late check-out at "12 or 1". They the proceeded to call me at 12 on the dot asking why I hadn't checked out yet. They "graciously" gave me 30 more minute

Clean room and bathroom. Mini-fridge doesn't have a freezer area. Heat/AC works well, plenty of towels. Not a bunch of cover between the parking lot and lower level front doors, so during the heavy rain we had to hug the building to stay dry. One of the best motels on our trip.

You do get what you pay for, but being unsafe is not something guests should ever have to accept. After taking a shower, I discovered that my door had clearly been forced or knocked in multiple times. The damage was obvious, and the fact that I was expected to stay in that room was unacceptable. (Photo provided.) It was clear this door had been forced in repeatedly in the past — you could see where the screws had been ripped out at least five times. The excuses I was given were ridiculous. First, the front desk employee claimed this was caused by guests locking themselves inside their own rooms. Then the manager changed the story and blamed “wood damage over time,” even though the door frame is steel. I immediately went downstairs because I did not feel safe and requested a refund. The

I had a great stay aMotel 6 MP! For a budget-friendly option, it exceeded my expectations. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with fresh linens and a cozy bed. The staff was friendly and welcoming, making check-in and check-out a breeze. Despite the affordable price, the motel felt safe and quiet, perfect for a good night’s rest. The location was convenient, with easy access to nearby restaurants and stores. If you’re looking for a no-frills, clean, and affordable place to stay, I highly recommend this motel.
