Motel 6 Janesville, WI

Stayed in room 145 for one night. walking into the room we were hit with the stench of urine. That was great. The floor was filthy. The sheets were filthy. Dog fur all over the sheets and eyelashes. Clearly not washed. The ceiling and walls were covered In stains. We left after a few hours because the mold and the stink were so bad. The neighbors dog barking and all the door slamming didn’t help either. Parking lot covered in broken glass and dog poop. You couldn’t pay me to stay there again.

I love how amazing and considerate the staff are here at Motel 6. I love how they recognize individuals who stay more often. The staff at this location made me feel secure and safe. There was an older lady in the room right next to me. She was extremely racist. The staff addressed the situation without me asking them too. I feel valued and respected. I established a friendship with the staff. So I’m always looked after. I have absolutely no issues with any bugs. Do do sanitize my room and clean it very throughly for my liking. I still get offered housekeeping services, even during long period of stays. Overall, there’s always some form of flaws. But the prices are extremely accommodating and affordable. You get what you pay for, I wouldn't stay more than a night or two if you can help it. The bathroom smelled really weird but the actual room was fine, not as bad as I expected. I did bring my own towels, pillow and sheets which is probably good because there was black curly hairs on mine (I'm blonde, so not mine). There was a dog in the room next to me barking/howling pretty much 24/7 so I'm glad I brought noise cancelling headphones. As a solo female traveler here for work I was kind of bummed about the lack of deadbolt.

Staff was very friendly and accommodating, but we had to get a refund. Room was infested with flies, and when I say infested I mean I have never seen this many flies in one room in my entire life. They were all over the window, curtains, and the bed. The door to the connecting room was very sketchy, thin wood board that someone could easily kick down, and I wouldn’t trust the lock on it either. Front door into the room didn’t have a working deadbolt lock. Bathroom was filthy. As soon as we pulled into the parking lot we had multiple people come out of their rooms and stand there staring at us. The location was not great and it felt very unsafe.
