Motel 6 Indio, CA - Palm Springs

I love this Motel 6. It's by far the best one I've stayed in. Not so much so for the location but the staff. There what keeps me coming back. Marisa being our favorite. Shes attentive, knowledgeable, and extremely professionally witty. Out of all the other hotels to choose from in the area I wouldn't choose any other one👊🖐️

Do not stay here!!! ||We’ve stayed in nice Motel 6’s (e.g. Carpenteria North, near Santa Barbara) and thought they would all be clean and reasonably up to date. Our room reeks of cigarette smoke! We checked in yesterday at 8 pm and they said they were sold out so we could not change rooms. The beds are uncomfortable, there is no blanket or bed covering, the built in cabinet looks 40 years old, and there are burn stains on the hardwood floor. ||After a terrible night of sleep, I asked the Office this morning if we could move to a clean, smoke free room. They said they were fully booked tonight and we had to stay in our room that reeks of cigarette smoke. There is a huge sports tournament in town so every hotel under $580 a night is sold out. They said they would clean our room well today. W

Positive: The room was clean and the rate was reasonable and now I know why. Negative: There was a train that went by seeming every few minutes. The train sounded like a jet plane. I was very difficult to get any rest. I wish I was informed about the train before i booked but that's why it was cheaper i guess.

Worst experience at any hotel I have been too. Homeless people and tricks roaming the grounds. While I was gone for the day someone broke into the room I was staying at and stole items. Staff were unhelpful about it. I witnessed people walking in and just asking to have there cards reactivated for room numbers. Not even making sure they were in the rooms they were asking for. STAY AWAY FROM THIS MOTEL!

Currently on night 3 of a 4 night stay. Arrived night 1 after confirming late check in was ok, found my reservation had been cancelled with no reason given. Was given a smoking room, when I had reserved non smoking. Whatever. Later that day was able to be switched to a non smoking room. Night 2, lots of noise and folks wandering around late into the morning. Night 3, my neighboring room is smoking pot which is seeping into my room, lots of folks outside being loud and obnoxious, neighbor also blasting stereo. Not a safe location to approach folks and ask them to be more considerate. Would not recommend.
