Motel 6 Greenville, NC – Ecu-Medical Center

I’ve stayed in nicer Motel 6’s. The furniture and appliances are heavily worn, rusted and used. There is dirt and grime all over the walls and something sticky on the painted furniture surfaces. The mattresses feel like cinder blocks with a foam mattress topper on it. The first room I was in the ceiling was leaking and crumbling into the sink in the bathroom. I was moved into another room. Same amenities but no leaks. I paid 2 wks in advance due to relocation with my service dog. Then they tell me they have to charge me for my dog. I explain to them they can’t do that. Then I’m told it’s a $25 deposit in case of damage. $25 for damage? Pre paid for 2 wks, they already have my money. What you see in the online photos have been retouched or they’re stock photos. Not a good experience. 3 in the room and 2 bath towels. Went to the night shift clerk and politely ask for more soap and 2 bath towels. The clerk said no towels were in laundry and couldn't get to them. He proceeded to get the soap and as he opened the door the towels were on the shelf inside deception is not an attribute to a successful business. January 23 2026.

Got to room and it was not very clean . Went to go to bed and found big roach on lamp. I asked for more blankets and pillows. He told me he would bring 1 blankets and no on the pillows. He never showed up. I went to bathroom and in the tub and on back of door was roaches. Roaches in bed. It was disgusting. DO NOT COME HERE !! NOT WORTH THE TIME.

Positive: At least the bed sheets were fresh, not the comforter (stains) Negative: Lipstick on a Pig; roaches, floors not clean.POOL Permanently Closed. That makes it no longer a 2 star hotel.

You get what you pay for. Just needed basics and a good bed. Cleanliness could be improved, but it was an ok stay when one is on a budget.
