Motel 6 Grants, NM

This has been one of our favorites for a stop along the way on our many trips from Texas to California over the years . The rooms, it is true are a little simpler in nature and maybe a bit smaller but it has been a nice place to sleep overnight and all the restaurants and gas,stations are convenient and close. The only disappointment in recent years has been that there was once a nice restaurant across the street. But it is gone now. Nothing left but a vacant lot. :-(

Dirty floors and furniture. Bathroom was gross. Tiny shower, dirty sink that drained very slow. The towel were very thin and small and we weren't sure if they were dirty or just badly stained. I had to dry off with a cleaner looking washcloth. Parking was good. Seemed safe. No problems there. Tv reception was horrible. Bed was comfy which was what we needed. The floor made your feet black when you walked on it. Didn't appear to be cleaned in a long while.

We, Newt and I, have rested here in both directions on my round trips between home and the Arizona Renaissance Festival for several years now. A familiar stop along a long road. Once noted in my records as a humble roadside outpost, it has remained reliably so. The rooms have always been satisfactory in cleanliness, nothing excessive, nothing neglected. Exactly what is needed when the body is tired and the mind needs quiet. Despite its proximity to Highway I40, the nights are consistently calm. Traffic fades. Sleep comes easily. That matters more than most things when traveling this route. The current proprietors are friendly and accommodating, received not as staff but as something closer to long-lost friends; warm, unpretentious, and genuinely welcoming after many miles on the road. The room is very clean, no loud neighbors, nice area of town. The staff (Umi, Ray, and the housekeeper) were so friendly and helpful rockstar service all the way. We had car trouble on our way through and had to stay for a few nights. Umi was so kind and helped us extend the room each day as we waited for our truck to get fixed. She made sure we felt at home here and had everything we needed. We stay at motel 6 because of their pet policy, and this property was no different they welcomed our family with open arms.

One of the most awesome customer service experience ever. The lady I think she is the owner. She is so so kind and helpful. Maids need to work on cleaning better but I would stay here again just becaus such great customer service and no bugs. I always inspect hotels b4 unpacking car. That lady if she not the owner she needs a raise.
