Motel 6 El Centro, CA

DO NOT STAY HERE! It is run down and shabby and they want a $100 deposit for “incidentals”🤯 Half the stud does not work so the perfect reason to keep your deposit!! Do yourself a favor and stay at the Crown Motel about 2 miles away. No deposit, no extra charge for pets, much larger much cleaner rooms! A much better stay:)

Positive: The space in the room was perfect and really clean . Staff was amazing Negative: The shower was small but overall everything else was perfect the way I expect it to be .

I was bitten by a bed bug in room 147. The incident happened on April 22. They offered a complimentary stay in an email I can show, but I refused until I saw proof of extermination. They did not have a "service agreement" for extermination until May, as provided in the attached photo. No proof of an actual extermination was shown nor did I receive my "complimentary stay". Corporate said they were unable to accomdate me and moreover, those rooms should have been shut down. They were only able to take the report (#1381980) since it was privately owned by the hotel border group. THIS has been an incredibly stressful experience. I was treated as if I was the one who was wrong. I have been ignored, hung up on, and had to make 27 phone calls only to receive a phone call by the "hotel contact

I will be honest. I was expecting disappointment... But you know what? It was… decent. Like, weirdly decent. Check-in was quick. The lady at the front desk was polite and gave me a room key that actually worked on the first try, i call that a "Motel 6 miracle." The room? Clean-ish! Smelled faintly like cleaning products. No weird stains on the sheets. Shower water pressure was good. TV worked. AC was ice cold. Fridge worked. Toilet flushed. Someone banged on my door at 10 pm, i wrote it off as an accident. It was blissfully quiet except for the freeway roar penetrating through the thin walls. Towels were thread bare, and mattress reminded me of sleeping on a cot. Few restaurants nearby, and a Gulf gas station. Very accommodating truck parking lot. The whole area has a nice little abandoned
