Super 8 by Wyndham El Centro North

I booked 2 nights for my uncle. I specifically told the desk agent not to allow him to stay additional nights and that I would under no circumstances pay for additional nights. The desk agent charged my credit card for an additional night. I called to complain and they said he didn't want to leave and was elderly so they just charged my card again. The reservation had been made online with no contingency for extensions.

No clue what all these reviews are about or if my experience was a one time exception but the room was on another level of dirty/unclean. The floor looked like they didn't mop for months; the room had a terrible and potent cigarette stench. The room had obviously been "cleaned" and ready so it's safe to assume that's their standard. Literally the worst hotel experience ever and no clue how it is still running, since these hotel chains never ever would lower their standard to this bottom level. I do feel bad for the owners but this is the truth.

By far the best super 8 I’ve ever stayed. I travel for work and stay at plenty of motels, and I’m a bit astonished by this location. When I checked in, I thought it was a standard super 8. But the rooms are very clean, excellent lighting, comfortable beds, awesome water pressure, AC units can turn the room into a freezer, nice sized TV…it just a solid room for the price. The couple who run/own it are very friendly and accommodating.

We got in about 1 in the morning, rang the bell for at least 8 mins no answer so we call the front office it rang,rang at least 5 mins then someone came from a back door, and you could tell he had been asleep. The next day, after working all day,,I asked for a shower chair for obvious reasons, Im a amputee and there was no bath tub. I was told that they didn't have any so I asked if I could get a room with tub,again I was told No, we don't have tubs. I asked don't you have to provide such stuff for person that need it, He said it not in there policy. Shower had hair all over the floor, easy enough to srap it down big Cob webs in the bathroom. All in one hand.....who ever cleaned that room needs to be showed again how to clean a room that paying customers stay in..

Total scam. No one would come to the office to check us in after several time of ringing the bell. Another man was there to check in at the same time. We both had to leave after a half hour of trying. When disputing the charges, the manager lied to hotels.com saying that they tried to contact me to offer a refund. Hotels.com sided with the manager. No refund for services not provided. Stay away.
