Motel 6 Covington, TN

I thought a Lot closer to I-40 interchange, it's not. Office staff were very nice BUT for whatever reason NO COFFEE at this location. First time that ever happened so Hopefully that will be changed. IF I had known I would Not have stayed. Since they don't offer breakfast, I've Always counted on the COFFEE...

Absolutely.The worst motel6 I've ever stayed in. When I checked in, there was an african american couple ahead of me. They were well dressed, polite, and driving a very clean newer vehicle. The desk clerks behaved in a manner that could only be described as standoffish. After the couple left the older of the two ladies working the front desk stated to me, and I quote here, as exactly as I can from memory: " we have certain rooms for certain people here, and I guarantee we're going to have trouble getting those people out of the hotel tomorrow". I can only assume racism from this encounter, and I was in a word; appalled. Had I not been falling asleep at the wheel, I would have left the hotel at that point. This place is the absolutely gross. Old building. All the fixtures were rusted and the rooms smelled horrible. After one night when we were gone to dinner the toilet from another room backed up into our room. Gross. Moved to another room and it was just as bad. They also have full time live in residence. After we left they did an unauthorized charge claiming we damaged the bedspread. Complete lie. There was no damage. They also allowed smoking and the smoke traveled thru the vents into all rooms. If my wife had been with me I would not have let her stay. I would have taken the loss to ensure her safety. Do not make the mistake of booking this nasty place.

When my wife first called to set up reservations, she was quoted one price. She waited for me to get home to discuss our choices and we opted for this hotel. She called back to confirm the reservations and was quoted a higher price. So I talked with the lady, and managed to actually get them to give us the previously quoted price. We required two rooms. Outside of not giving any kind of discount like most hotels; i.e. Military, Funeral, etc. The price was ok. Not the best, but ok. I was given the room numbers and I gave them the expected ETA. When we got there after having spent eight and half hours on the road. I was informed that through some ineptitude of the day personnel, (they couldn't get my card to authorize?) one of the rooms that we reserved was given away to someone else. But th

The good: The heat worked well, pets stay free, convenient to amenities, easy to check in. The bad: The smell of cigarettes, the horrible mattress with no blankets, no shower because it had a tub. Found fake eyelashes in our washcloth. Ewww. The room was not updated, a bit dirty. The people above us played music all night. Will not choose Motel 6 again. I would rather pay more for my pets and have a more comfortable stay. We delt with it because it was a quick stay. **Im not sure all Motel 6's are like this, maybe this one just happens to suck?
