Motel 6 Costa Mesa, CA - Newport Beach

The staff were exceptional, the rooms were clean, looked nice for Motel 6 and were kept in tip/top shape by an phenomenal and hard working staff with a smile even with those masks they are forced to wear. They make the rooms look and smell wonderful! And the front desk personnel are good too. I loved my stay there and would go back there before any other offers to any other Hotels without giving it another thought. The place was peaceful.

Everything was great. Check in was fast and easy. Man at the front desk was very nice. Our room was clean and looked to be refurbished with wood or laminate floors instead of carpet. When I dropped off my keys at the front desk the next morning, a different man was at the desk, and he was also very nice, pointing out the available coffee in the lobby. We only stayed one night, but it was a good experience.

One of the cleanest properties I have encountered in the motel 6 chain. Front desk staff were very responsive and clearly want to make a good impression on guests. Check-in was quick and easy. The room was spacious for a motel 6 and the bed was comfortable. We had a room with a King bed. This is a remodeled property so it has the faux hardwood floors which means the room didn't smell like musty carpet. Nice! Announced to the office staff that we had pets with us, which is why we chose motel 6 in the first place. Both manager and desk clerk took it in stride. Great location too. All in all a very nice experience all the way around. Normally I wouldn't recommend Motel 6 unless the nightly rate is your biggest concern; however, this property is not bad. I'll stay again with or without pets.

VERY clean, large room. Hot water temperature and pressure was good. I got the 2 bed room with a microwave and fridge. The only other furniture was a table and two hard-back chairs. 1 nightstand between the beds with an electrical outlet for plugging in devices. Nice big closet with a door. Pool looked lovely but was closed. Lots of rules upon check in (see photo) but they didn't ID my Mom nor take a deposit. This was only the second time ever that Motel 6 called to check on my room after I checked in. I was asked about a loose toilet seat and they even sent a maintenance man while I was on the phone, but I declined (I never let ANYONE in my room and the toilet seat seemed fine anyway). Parking was easy. Not the best neighborhood but the property was very quiet. This was the first time in

Stayed here for three days with my wife and kids. Room smelled like weed even though it was a non smoking room.(seemed to be coming from the bathroom vent.) the sheets didn’t seem fresh when we got there. The shower has mineral build up everywhere. I get that it’s a motel 6 but I’ve stayed in other motel 6s that are way better maintained. If you’re desperate on a budget, this isn’t a bad choice. But if it’s a family vacation, I’d definitely look elsewhere.
