Motel 6 Coos Bay, OR

Positive: Very clean, laminate flooring, hot tub, good location. Negative: Surprised to need an app called "One Tap Away" to use the laundry machines. The staff was very helpful on how to set up this app and get money transferred to it.No shampoo.

I stayed at this location for one night about 5 months ago. My room was not very clean and the toilet made a very alarming sound. The lock on the door stopped working. The maintenance person couldn't come fix it, and I had to painfully and inconveniently move rooms around 10-11pm. I stayed again for 2 nights this past week. My experience this time was completely different. The room was clean! Everything worked really well. I could tell a serious effort was made to provide solid service. I recommend staying here!

We went down to the area for a sports game. We’ve stayed in motel 6’s before. So we weren’t expecting luxury or big amenities. You get what you pay for mindset. However the service upon check in wasnt pleasant or friendly. Our room smelled so bad like musty, we opened window immediately. Mold on the walls. Thankfully we only had 1 night to stay. All our things smelled, immediately had to wash when home. Location was decent for the need. Walter’s Pourhouse down the street was great. Hot tub was surprisingly clean & pleasant. Won’t stay here again. Felt sick the whole time from smell.

Let me start with, I knew this was a value motel. Not too expect things like shampoo, a microwave, or a fridge. Having stayed there many times years ago, I knew it would be simple but clean. I was very wrong. ||Good: Check in was fast and easy. They don't charge for pets! They were able to accommodate my request for the ground floor. The bed was clean. Good location.||Bad: There was a musty odor that hit you when you opened the door. Left it open for 10-15 min before spaying the curtain and bed with the bathroom deodorizer I brought. The floor, walls, doors, and dresser were filthy. Garbage behind the TV and dresser. Very slow draining bathtub. Hair on the rack that held the towels. The TV was going out. There were permanent lines running down it and it was darker on one side. Expected

Casey was extremely helpful and friendly at check-in. Anna was friendly and informational regarding local stores, fishing and crabbing locations. It was definitely a surprise to get the treatment we did at a motel 6. Compared to some of the higher class hotels we stayed across the country! Which offered less service and did not have such great customer service!
