Motel 6 Channelview, TX

Pipeline workers/ contractors go here! It’s quiet, close, very clean, newly renovated. Safe without attention and suspicious character compared to other motels in the area. The bed is very large as well as the fridge, closet and shower. It’s impressive walk room for being a motel. 5/5 Absolutely top of the list for budget and traveling workers

With all the pressure and stress I was dealing with on the job contract, this place was so accommodating and pleasant to come back to night after night. The rooms are spotless and well cared for. They even had a little free bbq at the tiki hut outside. And when I was there over a week they dropped my rate automatically. 10 stars if possible.

First off, my Motel 6 expectations are very low. Only chose this bc I'm traveling with 2 dogs. The first room they gave us was NEVER cleaned! Vape pens everywhere, food in fridge and freezer, bathroom toiletries left behind, sticky crap all over the floor, etc. It smelled and gave me a headache! The new room they gave us met my Hotel 6 expectations. The front desk guy changed rooms no questions asked. So it was a nightmare of a room turned quite satisfied for my low expectations.

Rude! Rude!! RUDE!! More interested in explaining how they were right and I was wrong (over and over) than simply asking me what I wanted and putting me in a corresponding room. Demanded I answer their questions “yes” or “no” or I my responses would be ignored. Insisted I explain myself then talked over my every attempt. Insinuated I was racist after refusing my Mexican drivers license. Such people should not be in the hospitality industry. Not what I needed after a full day on the road. My experience was a rehash of much of the complaints found here so apparently little has changed. I’ll not go back.

Room was newly renovated and very spacious and clean. Breakfast service is free coffee. Location is a bit isolated.
