Review – Motel 6 South, Bakersfield, CA I am currently staying at this Motel 6 location and paid approximately $444 for a nine-day stay. I want to share my experience in a constructive way, because there are some serious issues that need attention. I have been recovering from a severe flu for over a week, and during my stay I contacted the front desk to ask if my room could be cleaned and refreshed for health reasons. I was told that housekeeping is only done on certain days, and that rooms are not cleaned daily. As a paying guest—especially one who is sick—this was very concerning. In addition, the bed in my room is noticeably sinking, which I reported proactively so there would be no confusion or blame placed on the guest. It is really hard to get I ve a Motel 6 five stars, but in this case I have no choice. The actual rating is about a 4.5, but there is no option for that. The only reason it would be a 4.5 in the first place, the motel has no control over it. There is a very large homeless population around the area so one must be on their guard. That is the ONLY problem at this motel. The rooms are spotless. They even smell clean and the beds are comfortable. The location is perfect with shopping nearby, a McDonald's and a Dennys adjacent. The staff are great. I really liked talking to Pearla. For the lower prices at Motel 6, this place is great. If you are in need of lodging, I highly recommend Motel 6 South. Maybe Motel 6 Convention Center and Motel 6 Airport should take examples from Motel 6 So

Positive: "" Negative: No remote for TV. Lots of criminal activity and traffic. Woke up at 1 am to a couple going back and forth arguing in front of my unit. 2:30 AM another couple checked in next door and woke me again, noisy for hours. Walkways and rooms could be cleaner

This hotel seems great from the front , until you walk in and realize that the hotel is racist against small framed Caucasian women. They make up their own rules as they go. Rules that are not listed on their website. Every person who enters the property must have an ID that can be scanned into the system, and if you don't have one you can't be there . So I've paid for my room, have my id, but my husbamd who doesn't have one due to a ticket is not allowed to enter my room !Absolutely absurd, I understand them needing to know who will be at the hotel but to have to scan every guest is nowhere listed on their website , this apps website, or anywhere else online that I've been able to locate . Terrible terrible customer service here! I would not recommend to anyone

I have stayed here a few times. Everyone is great! I love how friendly and kind the staff is and they are always willing to help you with whatever need is necessary. I always get the room I request for and they are lovely to my dog. Im thankful for their work and service.
