Motel 6 Aurora, CO - East Aurora

Worst hotel ever! They harassed us to no end because I didn't have an ID and it wasn't even my room. The lady at the front was being irrationally mad and raising her voice about how I wasn't registered. My purse got stolen this week and Colorado requires you to get an appointment. Literally nothing I could do. The manager said as long as we weren't causing trouble (and since we were catching up while I got ready to go out for NYE, I'd say we weren't) then came phone calls and the manager pounding on the door. I was sitting there waiting for an Uber because they kept getting canceled. Hardly worth her opening my friends door twice. It wasn't my room to answer. This property is in desperate need of a complete renovation. Both the exterior and the interior of the rooms are incredibly run-down and appear neglected. The beds were heavily stained and had a strong, stale odor. To make matters worse, the lights flickered constantly throughout my stay. The service was equally disappointing. Upon check-in, the door to my room was jammed and nearly impossible to open. Instead of offering assistance, the manager simply threatened to charge me for 'damages' while I was struggling to gain entry. Everything in the room is already stained or broken, yet they seem eager to blame guests for the pre-existing poor conditions. Do not waste your time or money here

In a world of air B&Bs it's absolutely no wonder that people are switching to alternative housing for their places to stay while traveling. We walked into what could be described as a poorly cleaned up CSI crimescene in room 337, complete with blood, spit and boogers on the walls, dead bugs, alive bugs and a sticky substance on the night stand. Trash underneath the bed, a randomly placed highlighter pen on the bathroom floor and a non-draining sink in the bathroom. One of the rules that was very specific when we checked in was that there was ZERO smoking in our room but yet, the whole hotel smelled of marijuana and cigarettes, which was clearly covered up by a tropical perfume scent. Messed up thing is I have pets and there a service and esa. Wanted to charge me a daily fee. I chose it because it said motel 6 online and I knew I wouldn't have trouble with my 2 animals bc they accept them. But I got there and the lady told me "ones haven't been a motel 6 in over a year". I told her well it's online as a motel 6, she tells me well I don't know why it's not changed, and I chose it bc of my animals bc ppl want to give me a hard time(I had a motel complete refuse for me to stay bc I had my service dog and I had an upgraded room and she didn't want pets in them she asked what service she provides and I told her and she told me that's not a service. Starting with the ladies who checked us in were great! So nice and understanding. But, this place is trashy. The elevator is broken and there are 2 stair wells at either end. We were on the 3rd floor. No ice except in the lobby. There was a rag wrapped around the shower to stop it from spraying everywhere when you turned it on. This trash was there when we checked in and when we left 2 days later. If they don’t clean what you can see what else do they not clean? It was cheap though.
