Motel 6 Anaheim, CA - Maingate

We were pleasantly surprised, Motel 6 has come a long way. Bathroom was nice, beds were comfy. The stairs to our room were a little worrying as they cracked under as we went upstairs, it qas likely due to age and the heavy rains the day before. Felt safe. Great distance to House of Blues. Disney not too far of a walk either. Location is meh for easy food locations but plenty with an extra few mins of driving. Would stay here again! As for reviews complaining about the parking fee, it was absolutely stated on the policies when I first made my reservations and email reminders. I do believe it needs to be highlighted me, but I was aware before going to the property. If you are a light sleeper (I am not), you may to avoid due to cheer and band kids staying for their events/trips.

My family’s vacation could have started as a horrible experience, but Motel 6 completely turned it around and made it feel magical. We originally checked into Quality Inn & Suites in Anaheim after being told ahead of time that my emotional support animal would be fine as long as the cat “doesn’t bark.” I was completely transparent about needing this accommodation before checking in. Unfortunately, once we arrived, the experience turned into something very upsetting. The front desk employee began belittling me and raising her voice in front of other guests and my children. We were told we had to leave the property with the cat at all times and that we would be charged a $300 cleaning fee. My daughter even tried to defend me because she could see how targeted and uncomfortable the situation

We are currently staying here from 2/3–2/14. I want to start by saying the staff have been extremely kind and helpful throughout our stay. Every interaction at the front desk has been pleasant and professional, and we truly appreciate that. However, there have been a few ongoing concerns. The hot tub has not been functional at any point during our stay so far, which was disappointing as it was one of the amenities we were looking forward to. The main issue has been the floors in our room. They remain consistently dirty. We have spoken to two staff members about this. Housekeeping does a great job overall when servicing the room, beds, trash, towels, etc. are handled well, but the floors are not being properly cleaned. Booked 2 nights to visit Disneyland. We have stayed in multiple locations near Disneyland this was definitely the cheapest option. Location is good about 15 minute walk to the park factoring in lights. We walked to Anaheim Garden Walk for food & shopping. Our room was on the 3rd floor back building closest to the 5 & I did hear car noise. The room is very bare bones with mini fridge & single serve coffee pot. The bathroom was very run down, the toilet seat has writing carved into it. The shower took time to warm up & the hot water ran out before my shower was done. Bed was fine but I would have liked a real blanket what is on there is thin as paper. Would I stay here again? Probably not only because I like LaQuinta a block away & they serve breakfast. It was a great stay. The location was very convenient to go to Disneyland (we saw fireworks in front of our room), although the price was amazing. Bathroom was little bit wired (I forgot take a picture!!!) the door was like closet. I think it was renovated from closet to bathroom. But it wasn’t matter for us!! I appreciate this accommodation it was nice:)
