Motel 6 Americus, GA

Nasties place to stay at in americus. I would recommend another motel. When we walk in there were stains on the pillow case and covers.

This motel was so filthy, I literally went to the local Walmart and purchased a tarp to lay over the mattress, two pillows that I kept inside their original plastic packaging so they wouldn't be tainted, and two cheap, polyester blankets to sleep on/under. ||||All the linens and towels were so stained it was hard to tell if they were clean or not. ||||The phone did not work.||||There were no - as in zero - electrical outlets near the desk for the desk to be useful w/ a laptop. ||||The wi-fi was almost non-existent. I couldn't log on most of the time.||||At first I was THRILLED that there was no carpeting because chances of a carpet being routinely cleaned in a low-end motel are slim to none. To be fair, it's a very old building, but the owners have done an excellent job in their attempts to keep the rooms fairly updated. No, you're not getting a lavish, well furnished room, but the beds are super comfortable, the staff at the front desk are very courteous and accommodating, and pets stay free (zero deposit, zero extra fees). My wife, the pups and I just needed a safe and comfortable place to retire to in the evenings and rest comfortably after we enjoyed the area. This place fulfilled those needs 100%. Major plus is, Taco Reys is just a quick 1 minute walk from the motel and has excellent food!

If it weren’t for the cancellation policy I would’ve left running. Walked into a hot room with a working but busted up ac. No directional vents so all the air is going straight across the floor. Shower nozzle is busted or something cause the water is shooting up to the ceiling. Bathroom is just terrible. Looks like a drunk tried to patch the wall. Had go back for the rest of the towels. Pool closed as with most Indian run motel 6s. Hot 2 fans going and it’s still warm. Desk is a safety hazard. I don’t see where this gets some decent reviews. Safety lock on door is broke. White towels are standard in 95 percent of hotels as to see when they are stained and be tossed. Not here. Sending pictures to corporate as if it will help.
