Motel 6 Albert Lea, MN

Avoid this Motel 6 at all costs. Better to pay more at another motel than tolerate this dive. None of the rooms have a microwave to start with. Some have a mini fridge. I asked the front desk worker if I could get a microwave for the room. She said sure and she'd bring one to the room. Another guest overheard the conversation and said I may as well go buy myself a microwave because they sure as hell won't be bringing me one! He was right! LOL! Aside from that pain, the motel is nasty and in terrible repair. The rooms are nasty and the bedding is covered with various (gross) stains. There was a persistent odor throughout the motel that made my wife sick - a mixture of: urine, diesel fuel, and curry. There were also people sleeping and in their cars in the parking lot that didn't seem to be

I pulled off the road because of bad weather and booked on the Motel6 app. Turns out that you cannot check in after 10pm and Motel 6 customer service could not get a hold of anyone.

I would give zero stars or negative stars if I could. I had a prepaid reservation. Prepaid! I show up, and not to be disrespectful or racist, but the staff did not speak great English, but they communicated that they had no rooms. I showed them the confirmation, which showed that it was a prepaid reservation, no room. I ended up going to a different hotel, but totally unprofessional they should’ve canceled the reservation, I’m going to dispute the charges with my bank. Because I did try to talk to the manager, and I got nowhere. Very extremely unprofessional.

Positive: Nothing Negative: No cups, no ice, no hair dryer, parking lot horrible condition , side door broken , ac/ heater did not work properly shower did not work and terrible location. Room not prepaid and owner said credit card machine was broken and I had to pay cash.

I had a prepaid reservation booked online. It’s not my fault that I would’ve done better if I had called them. A prepaid reservation is a prepaid reservation! I show up and someone, well all they could say was “no room.” Got the same thing when I tried to talk to a manager. I’m going to dispute the charger with my bank. Absolutely the worst experience I’ve had in a very long time, and I will not be doing business with Motel 6again.
