Morton House Inn, Shipshewana

Our stay at Morton House Inn was like being welcomed into a dear friend’s home, wrapped in the heart of Shipshewana’s Amish charm. Von and Tobi, the owners, have poured their heart and souls into this historic 1880s gem, and it shows in every detail. From the moment we arrived, their warmth set the tone— the cozy farmhouse decor, made the place feel both timeless and inviting. The smell of the home is incredible! The suite was a dream—spotless, with a plush queen bed, soft linens, and a rainfall shower that melted the day’s travel away. Donuts and coffee that kept flowing, all in a sunlit dining room that begged me to linger. Everything is top-notch. I’ve stayed at many bed-and-breakfast and this is the cleanest. Everything you need is there from umbrellas (if it rains) to pots and pans, if you want to cook. ||It is close to everything. You feel right at home there. Von and Tobi are exceptional host.||Not only was the Morton House decorated very nicely for Christmas, but the majority of the town is decorated with millions of lights. It is beautiful.

Our stay was fabulous. The lift is decorated amazingly very welcoming. They stocked the fridge with drinks, also had tea bags of an assortment, had a kureig with coffee pods and hot chocolate. Small snacks as well. Tastefully decorated for Christmas not over whelming or in your face and the fireplace gave it and intimate feel. Loved the whole stay. Lots of room to roam if it's a rainy day. I could totally live there.

My husband and I had such a wonderful, relaxing stay at the Morton House! The Inn was very clean, and welcoming! It was quaint, charming, and tastefully decorated! |We stayed in the Hunn room which was on the first floor right off the living room. We loved the cozy Christmas decor throughout the house! We couldn’t have asked for a better experience! We felt right at home!

My husband and I always stay at The Morton House when visiting Shipshewana. We've stayed there many times and have even brought friends. It's our home away from home. |In addition, we've met many great people from all over. The house is beautiful, it's homey, it's comfortable and very convenient for shopping, shows and dining.
