Blue Gate Garden Inn & Conference Center

I can't as of yet rate the hotel itself, but I can review the staff. I had a room booked for yesterday, and my family was very excited for our stay. However, I learned that morning that my dad passed away unexpectedly out of state, and we had to leave immediately to help with funeral arrangements. In the chaos of all that, I forgot to cancel our booking. My card was still charged $231 for the room, which is totally on me because I forgot to cancel the reservation. I called to the hotel, doubting there was anything that could be done, but still hopeful. I spoke with Dawanda (not sure I spelled name correctly), and she was so understanding and helpful. She was able to reverse the charge, and the money was back in my account instantly. On top of that, she was very kind and compassionate when

We had such a wonderful time staying at Blue Gate Garden Inn. It was conveniently located by the theater where we saw an amazing show. The room was clean and comfortable. The lobby and common areas were comfortable and inviting. The staff was friendly and efficient. Did I mention the breakfast? It was delicious. We will definitely be back.

We had a King Queen room. A bit cramped. Would rather have a two queen or one king. There were NO comfy chairs in the room to sit and relax in. Two comfy chairs would be nice. It was either the wooden dinette chairs or the bed. Remote control for TV hard to push buttons even with new batteries.

Great atmosphere and room. Some updates or modern fixes would be great. Cost was a bit for the out dated/broken items in room but with the supplied breakfast buffet i guess it was worth the price. Helpful staff and great customer service. And maybe wall issues between rooms , volume on tv wasn't loud at all and got called or complained about to front desk.
