Super Bowl weekend I stayed Andy was very helpful. The rooms are clean. The amenities are also great. Coffee in the room is a plus location is great from downtown and the price was awesome and it was nice and quiet. Thank you again Andy for the great experience we will be staying with you again.

If you are just looking for a not too expensive place just to get a night's sleep, this will work. The rooms are small, the furniture has seen better days and there definitely are not any extras. We were on the bottom floor and could frequently hear kids running above us. I didn't feel real secure with the old school door lock, chain, and a regular key. The gas fireplace said it was not available and the wall heater was from the last century. But the bed was comfortable, the thin blanket worked fine. There was no guide for the TV but the location across the street from Del Monte Center was nice for shopping. We could drive to Pacific Grove, Canary Row or the 17 Mile Drive pretty quickly.

This was a return visit to the Monterey Pines Inn, as we have always found it to be one of the most affordable places in the area. It is a small, older property, but we have always found it to be clean, convenient, and the manager, Andy, friendly and helpful. The location, being just off the freeway, makes it easy to get to Carmel and Point Lobos to the south, or traveling north toward the Santa Cruz area. The Del Monte shopping center is across the street, and using Pacific Street, a block off of Munras, easily gets you into downtown Monterey and Cannery Row, the Aquarium, and Pacific Grove. The rooms are small, but there is a table with 2 chairs, a microwave and mini fridge, as well as a couple of bottles of water and granola bars in the room. There is some street noise, or ocaasio

It meets expectations. These kinds of hotels aren’t about luxury, they’re just for one or two nights on a road trip. It’s old but clean. I had a comfortable bed, hot water, and a fridge, that’s all you really need.
