Montauk Motel

Lovely and affordable place! Came knocking here just by chance as the cold rain was pouring down and I just needed a place to rest my head for the night (I had taken a 6 hour early morning flight from the west coast, spent 2 hours to get to a car rental near the airport, and then another 2.5 hours to drive to Montauk). Debbie was very helpful.

We had a wedding to attend in Montauk and had a difficult time trying to find something reasonably priced. We booked a room at the Montauk Motel with 2 double beds and kitchen efficiency. It was myself, my husband, our daughter and granddaughter. For our needs this was perfect! Glamorous it is not. It's very basic, dated but very clean thanks to Dorothy who does a fantastic job. There were some things that could be an easy fix, i.e., the refrigerator door did not close properly and the bathroom sink dripped. But to us what was more important was the care and friendliness of the owners. We checked in and we're just getting settled when there was a knock at the door. Hello & MTK MTL is an affordable gem, right in the hamlet. Family run, the rooms are basic and clean. The pool w/ the waterfall during the summer months are not to be believed they are so good ! Stay safe

Montauk Motel is a great place to stay if you want to come to Montauk, but not pay a ridiculous amount of money for a room. Granted you are not on the beach, but the walk is only about 4 blocks and very short. We were not in the room much, but there was a/c, nice shower pressure, and a newer tv. Some of the appliances, such as the stove are a bit older, but great that there is a full kitchen in the room. Claire, the owner, is very nice and was accommodating during our stay. This was our second year staying here and plan to return again next summer!

Even though the motel is no frills, my family has been staying here for a few years now. The family could have a little attitude here and there, now that they know us they couldn’t be more accommodating. It’s important to keep supporting a family business and locals for a place that has been around for years. You can’t beat the location and you can’t find prices like this anywhere else in Montauk now.
