Moffat Inn

The hotel is cute but had a few issues. The room we had, had a fireplace and 2 beds. However the fireplace is against a side wall and the furniture is up against it so you have to shift the chairs in between the beds to clear the area around the fireplace to even see it|You also had to set the fireplace thermostat to 88 to keep the flames going, which led to the room getting too hot|Also our deadbolt didn’t lock , I think just because it’s a older hotel and perhaps the door lock doesn’t line up with the doorframe anymore|There is no elevator, so if you’re on the 2nd floor, you need to know that. |I would definitely stay there again, but I wouldn’t get the deluxe room with the fireplace again. Great location. Front desk was responsive and accommodating. Received a room upgrade without asking. Everything was clean. Room was warm. Water heat level was great. The fridge was a little wet though. Overall, very pleased with this hotel and the service!

We had a lovely stay at the Moffat. Our room was very comfortable, the location along the main street was fantastic, and the shared lounge areas were a great option for letting our family spread out at time during the day to read or finish work.|A special thank you to Debbie - she consistently went above and beyond to make it a great stay. Great experience with a welcoming staff. Room very clean and we had an awesome night's sleep! Staff personally greeted us and kept us informed of places to eat and visit. Upon booking, I only mentioned this trip was for our anniversary and to our surprise walked into the room with a box of candy and an anniversary card acknowledging our special day. Things can't get better than that. They pay attention to the minute details. Awesome job. Special thanks to Ivy for making our trip exceptional. Don't hesitate to stay here. Glad we did.
