Great camp ground. It was a bit tricky with a 30 ft travel trailer, but we managed. Sites are not super flat, but the location is perfect for accessing 3 of the 14ers near Lake City. Also there is a great little creek, Lake Fork of the Gunnison River, that houses some pretty nice fish.

Nice, basic campground, but no resident host. Restrooms fairly clean. Lots of ATV'S, motorcycles and other assorted off-road vehicles roaring through campground all day and on the county road nearby. Camp spots are small and basic. Beautiful place, near rugged mountain recreation area, but too much chaos!

We are tent campers. Mill Creek has toilet (only) facilities and hand-pumped water. Total of 22 sites with bear storage lockers but no recent bear problems. It is about 13 miles from Lake City on CR 30. The pads were tent friendly (i.e. minimal gravel, level and pegs went in relatively easily). Usual fire pit and table. Very quiet. Beautiful setting at 9,300'

I wish there was more respect for wildlife and other campers. At sunset we saw a mom and baby moose grazing peacefully in the woods; a few moments later a couple sites down their dogs started freaking out and seemingly chased the moose through the woods. Please please please protect/respect wildlife, we are in their home. Another site was screaming and revving their atv engines at 1 Am on a Friday night. Toilets were clean and campground was close to Lake City and hiking trails.

Nice campground. Lots of trees in a mountainous setting. There’s signs posted around indicating bear activity but we didn’t see any during our 5 night stay.
