Miles River Guest House

This place was awesome,a group of 7 of us traveled down to Maryland to do a Ironman triathlon. This house was absolutely amazing,had plenty of room awesome owners. We stayed 4 days most peace ful quiet place in the world. Pictured right on a beautiful lake with a huge dock for gorgeous morning coffee and view. Also had absolutely beautiful in ground pool. And a peaceful atmosphere that let us rest quietly before our race. And did I mention beautiful picturesque horse farm

We had read that the Miles River Guest House was located in a beautiful setting. We really had no idea how beautiful until we sat and watched the sunset over the Miles River our first evening there.That experience was just one of many that made our stay at the Guest House enjoyable and memorable. The accommodations were comfortable, clean and spacious, with a mix of contemporary and antique furnishings and interesting memorabilia. We loved the vintage juke box with hits from the 50's thru the 80's which you could play sans coins. A lot of fun. The Guest House is located between Easton and St. Michaels, so that enjoying the best in fine dining, art galleries, craft shops and historic sites is within easy reach. This was an idyllic setting for 4 friends celebrating a birthday. We stayed 4 nights and spent time biking and dining and being busy around the St. Michaels community and enjoying the lovely view and pool at the Guest House. Will and Dorothy Howard are charming owners and made us feel very welcome and relaxed. Just watching the river and the birds and listening to the sounds was so wonderful! The house is very comfortable and the setting, back a long manicured lane, is spectacular! Biking in this part of the country is great and I am sure this place will be a repeat visit!

My husband and I just returned from a 3-day stay at Will and Dorothy Howard's wonderful Miles River Guest House -- we were already trying to figure out our next visit before we even left the long, quiet drive! The guest house is very spacious,very clean, with large bathrooms and comfortable beds, and every amenity to help you feel at home, from a great old jukebox to the delicious pastries and other breakfast goodies left for you. Will even supplied a bag of carrots when he learned of my love of horses--there's a pastureful of them just yards away that I visited, carrots in hand, several times a day--heaven! As others have commented, the beautiful sunset views and tranquil setting are rare and wonderful. But the best part, and the reason we stay in B&Bs as often as we can, was meeting W

Our Book Club of 8 women does an annual girls weekend. We had a great time staying here. With 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms there was plenty of space for us. The breakfast provided was perfect - bagels, fruits, spreads, coffee, cereal and juices. The setting was perfect and we loved the dock and hammock swing. We spent a leisurely early Sunday morning watching osprey, bald eagles and heron with the binoculars they provided. The location was perfect - an easy ride to Easton and St Micheals. The host and hostess and very nice, providing dining recommendations and happy to help with any questions we had. We decided to cook in one night and the kitchen was well supplied with tools and pans. Would definitely recommend and would come back here again. Thank you!
