Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Ocala

There's some good and bad here. Room was clean, bed was comfortable. Breakfast was typical for a continental breakfast. The food area was clean and replenished. There's plenty of parking for larger vehicles. The laundry sign posted had the wrong price. The dryer didn't work well, I had to hang everything around my room overnight to dry. It was a waste of money. They do have quarters at the front desk if needed. I did like the water station near the elevator. That was nice. Be sure to read the room details carefully, there was no microwave. I thought it was standard, but it's not. I didn't appreciate having the ashtray directly in front of the door. I stopped here on my way home from a 4-night camping trip/music festival to get some rest before I finished my drive. From the ease of checking in via my phone while I was still at camp, to how friendly and welcoming the staff were, to how clean and comfortable the room was to my exhausted eyes, I can't say enough wonderful things about this awesome little hotel! And all for such a low rate - wow. I will DEFINITELY be back!!! I'd give ten stars if I could - thank you!

We chose Microtel as we traveled pulling our large camper and there was a lot nearby to park in. This was convenient for us. The room was comfortable and the hotel was clean. No complaints about any of that. Service was great and staff were friendly. It’s not a 5 star hotel but it’s comfortable and reasonably priced. The noise from the interstate is what bothered me most. If that’s soothing to you then you will like this place. Otherwise you should consider bringing earplugs to sleep with. Maybe if I were more used to traffic noise it would have been easier to ignore but I don’t have that kind of noise usually. I would probably stay again but would run over to the Tractor Supply store next door and purchase some earplugs.

Positive: Nothing Negative: Pool was nasty, Side Entrance/Exit unkempt. Garbage on sidewalk. Strange people hanging out in the parking lot by my car. Complementary breakfast had limited selections. All around bad experience. Actually would like a refund.

Stayed there on Dec 24,25. The room was mediocre at best. There was a coffee maker in the room, but no cups. I went to take a shower and there were several long black hairs dried on the tub floor. The breakfast items were Cold Cereal, Unripe Banana, Milk, 1 type of Juice (Apple) Bagel. Grounds in the Coffee at Breakfast. There were People to attend the area, however it felt more like the breakfast police. From a year ago to now this Microtel has went from a solid 9 to a unacceptable 2.
