Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Morgan Hill/San Jose Area

This place is in need of a make over. For what we needed it was perfect as far as location to the sport complex. But there was no soap in the bathroom to wash our hands, the bathroom light flickered like we had a ghost and a lot of the room lights would time out and shut off so we were constantly turning them back on. The morning we were checking out we found a small roach in the sink which was gross and worrisome about what else might have been in the room with us or now in our bags on the way home. I will say the staff is very courteous and super friendly. Miranda was awesome on the phone when I made the reservation and the gentleman that checked my family in was helpful and welcoming. I found it to be a good option for healthcare professionals seeking clean, affordable, and quiet accommodations.||||Cleanliness & Comfort:||The rooms were consistently clean, with fresh linens and daily housekeeping available. The bed was comfortable, and I appreciated the quiet environment, which is important when working night shifts and needing restful sleep during the day. Upon arrival I was greeted kindly and helped as soon as the person in front of me was done being help. I was assigned my room. The room was very spacious and I enjoyed my stay for the 2 days I booked with them. There were no problems or complications throughout my whole stay. Definitely felt comfortable and like at home. The room met good cleanliness expectations. I search every room I get for any roaches, bed bugs, rodents, water leaks from the ceiling and etc. when I first arrive all the time, especially when they have microwaves and refrigerators or kitchenettes. The room I stayed in was clear of all of that. On top of that every single employee I encountered represented great customer service and not even close to rude. Will definitely be staying again. 👍🏻

Front desk staff were extremely polite/helpful/nice. That was the only good part about the stay. However even just for 1 necessary night this room was awful. If we had the option to go elsewhere we would have. Additionally, staff are well aware of issues and allude to the fact that the owners are unwilling to improve/fix anything. Our room had the following problems: Empty soap/shampoo containers (we had to go get them); bathtub not draining; shower not turning on all the way (bath faucet continues to run so shower not at full pressure); bathroom frame gross/rusty & floor moulding dirty; carpets not fully vaccuumed (had crumbs & other dirt on them, gross); windows filthy on the *inside*, not even wiped; couch worn/dirty; entry ceiling light "strobe light" flickering/not working; one light

The hotel is very clean but a little cramped. Not much room to move around, especially for two people. The bed is a little hard and I wish they had more than two pillows. The breakfast was decent, not many options , but good for quick snack. Overall the hotel is clean and convenient, just minimalist.
