Customer service was lacking. The room was listed for a certain amount online but the attendant refused to honor the price and told my husband he could book it online if he wanted that price. Then he had to stand there watching the attendant sit on his phone until he had to ask for service. |Lobby furniture was visibly soiled, hallway had a horrible smell that extended into the room. The bed was uncomfortable and also smelled awful. The towel rack had soiled hand towels and weren’t neatly placed as they usually would be, had it been cleaned. There was also a dirty towel hanging on the back of the bathroom door. The furniture in the room was also visibly soiled. The Microtel was 5 stars when we checked in, the room was spacious, well appointed with a comfortable, spacious King bed that my wife and I slept wonderfully in through the entire night, an AC that worked well and did not roar, there were no highway or outside noises intruding, a spacious bathroom and the affable, helpful and gracious staff. The bed linen and bath linen were, clean, soft and comfortable. The issues that brought it down to 3 stars were: there was no dead bolt on our room door, the only locking mechanism was the pass key handle, and the inner fold over lock tha allows the door to be opened a couple of inches, which can be over come with a heavy wallop to the door. Positive: Absolutely a great price for such a comfortable room with a 55' television. Negative: Breakfast options were very mediocre but luckily there was a waffle maker. So we enjoyed waffles.

I was woken up early in the morning by the sound of dripping water from the ceiling. When I got up in the dark to check, I slipped and fell on the wet floor. The ceiling already had a brown stain, suggesting this wasn’t the first time there’s been a leak. I called the front desk, and instead of offering any real solution, staff just came in several times with towels to soak up the water. No offer of a room change, refund, or any attempt to make the stay right. Room 116, be aware. Poor response and lack of concern for guest safety.

Was charged an extra 100. Was told id receive it back in 2 to 3 business days. The first time I called they said to hold and they'd look into it. They hung up. When I called back I had no answer. Iv either called or been back in person 2 to 3 times and they've just told me its refunded but I still have to wait till monday which is 4 business days after my check out. Room was dirty shower was gross and the bedding was uncomfortable. I wouldn't stay here again even if it was a 25$ room.
