Metro Apartments

My husband and I stayed here 2 December 14 to 9th December 14. We were pleasantly surprised with the standard of these apartments. We did upgrade to the delux studio and was worth every penny. Yet still a fraction of the price of some nearby hotels. Having the kitchen was great for coffee and toast in the morning whilst planning the day. Lots of local shops nearby. Spacious clean bathroom. Infact whole apartment was mare spacious than expected for New York. The apartment had everything you could need. Reception staff where very helpful. Ideal location and will definitely stay again. Only tip is apart from trip to airport which is a fixed price pop outside and grab yellow cab. We booked through hotel for one trip and the price was double the yellow cab on return. Quite average. It was smelly and they had over-sprayed some just as horrible fragrance to try and cover it up. The TV did not work not did the people care about fixing it though I asked several times. Also the "free wifi" is in the reception only and they have cable internet when you are in the room so you are tied to a small desk where this is located. Overall it appeared to be some horrible run down apartment they had tried fix up on the cheap with every possible corner cut. I didn't mind the location, which is a little run down with homeless people about, but that doesn't bother me and you could get around mid Manhattan easily with a short walk which was great. The traffic noise was bad in the morning and it has an overpass right next to the building so I would suggest if you stay here

Corner apartment with views down 31st street to Madison Square Garden and Broadway down towards Maceys largest store.||Apartment. had all we needed although a few home comforts in the kitchen would have been nice. Very clean and spacious. Great value for money if comparing other places.||Studio apartment layout for adult son and husband worked great. Small internal operational bathroom and kitchen ample although toaster and coffee maker would have been nice to have. Dining table and chairs nice feature. TV worked once after service request put into action. Free Wifi in room good in mornings but not always working late at night.||Reception person allowed us to leave our bags when checking in early at 1.30pm for an hour and after return allowed us to check into our apartment early which was

Well located for all attractions walking distance to metro but near port authority bus terminal so try to book rooms on 41st side of building as noise not quite so bad. There would be no problem if there was an upgrade in the rooms to double/triple glazing. The rooms were clean and spacious but if you want cleaning services book well in advance as we requested on three occasions but never they never arrived.Reception staff always busy but helpful.

Went with the girls for my 50th birthday party. The apartments were spotless and spacious enough - we had 2 apartments between 7 of us. Location was very central, although to the left hand side there was some kind of drop in centre so walk on the other side of the road and certainly don't venture down there late at night. However this was manageable, and for value the apartments were fantastic.
