Meshach Browning's Cabins on the River

Me and my husband stayed 2 nights in The Roost and I would highly recommend visiting Cabins on the river in grantsville md, was a very great experience. The cabin was well stocked, clean, and spacious. Was a very comfortable relaxing stay. The owners was so nice and answered any questions we had. We will be definitely going back for sure

I spent a wonderful, relaxing weekend here three years ago. I rank it among my most memorable. I will be returning this weekend and I am so excited to sink into the calmness and peacefulness of the woods and the river. The Wiggle Worm was adorable. You can watch the river all night from the large windows around the bed. We will stay in The Roost this time. It is absolutely on the agenda to visit Penn Alps Restaurant and Artisan Village and walk the old Casselman Bridge. I highly recommend this vacation spot.

My husband and I have enjoyed this location and the owners for many visits over years. I have traveled the world for business and pleasure and this is a fabulous getaway in Maryland! It is clean, friendly and extremely relaxing! We have spread the word to people who enjoy nature and respect the work put into making such a unique place!

This was such a peaceful and quiet location. We loved the feeling of being secluded even though there were other houses and people in the same area. Close to all kinds of activities. The owner Rodney was great - chatted for a few minutes while he was feeding the chickens outside. Cute and very clean property, convenient parking too. Only wish we could bring our very small dogs with us so we could stay longer. Highly recommend and we will be back!!!

Driving in, I felt the place was too good to be true. Exactly the sort of cabin getaway I’ve longed for for years. Just as others have said, the setting is beautiful, hosts are gracious and laid back and cabins were comfortable. We stayed in The Beaver that had everything we needed. I peeked in The lodge-it looked amazing for a group although it had a musty smell. But my guess is that, when guests are expected, that they will have taken care of it. As far as the one snarky review by a guest who was upbraided for having extra visitors, I say yay to Rodney. I want to stay at a place that will not permit parties and keeps the community secure for paying, registered guests.
