Meramec Valley Campground & RV Park

Huge campground. 3 large pools. Game room and playground. It is an older property, but well maintained with lots of sites. Bring extra cords as some of the hookups are far away, and leveling boards as some sites are not very level. We carry extras, so it worked fine for us. Beautiful treed setting with lots of live oaks that have been well taken care of. Close to do many amenities from St James Winery to Meramec State Park and a separate Maramec Spring Park. Both are beautiful and about 20 minutes away on either direction. We really enjoyed our stay.

We are new to camper camping and new to the area. We have gone here a few times and each time is even more relaxing and amazing. The people we have met are so helpful, fun, entertaining, and respect full. The front has a safety gate to enter. The front office clerk was super friendly, was greeted with a smile and had a great time talking to him. I was greeted with a map, the activities for the whole weekend, swim bands, and a key card to come and go from the park. This park is clean, safe, and peaceful. Every time we go there is something new that I have not seen before! The fishing is great! Lots of crappie, large mouth bass, and cat fish. This Memorial Day weekend was so much fun!! We called after hours while on the highway heading to Muskogee Ok. With our 5th wheel. They were very friendly and very accommodating! The went out of their way for us. Beautiful park! So clean! Highly recommend staying there!

Was not at all impressed nor do the pictures show the reality of this campground. We planned a weekend trip here and thought it look nice and had some nice amenities at a reasonable price. Not until we arrived and not anywhere on the brochure but on a little piece of paper we are told to use the pool, putt putt, or even fish in the lake we had to buy a $10 wristband each per day. Now if this was a water park like pool or a top tear putt putt golf or lake full of activities I might understand. If you claim all these great amenities and don’t advertise the up charge it feels dishonest. We had extremely low water pressure and the bath house was ran down and didn’t even have locks on the stall doors. It looked like a nice place online but was extremely disappointed once there. Wife and I stayed 3 nights to visit the area. After check in we located our site but due to 2 outlets on our trailer we were moved to 188 but it was worse. 30amp sites are not level at all and will require extra work to set up. Sewer connections are terrible and we had odors and flies because it was so bad. They also use cheap plastic faucets which leaked the whole time. We did enjoy the woods and lake and it was quiet the whole time. However they have full-time guests here and some guests are not very friendly or polite. We went to the pool which was nice and clean. We used the laundry facility it all worked fine and was clean. They have a lounge but we're told it gets so rowdy sometimes they have to shut it down. Went to the office at 920am on Friday and no one was at the desk. No manage
