Marriott's Manor Club at Ford's Colony

Exceptional stay in every single way. The location was not far from Busch Gardens and we enjoyed Christmastown. It was minutes away from Williamsburg Pottery and a grocery store. It was a perfect Thanksgiving holiday with loved one and the accommodations were clean, relaxing and elegantly appointed. I also appreciated how quiet this location is compared to staying at a traditional hotel. I am so grateful to the property for noting our Marriott Bonvoy Elite status as well as proving a late checkout. We loved the ample space for us to enjoy. The indoor pool and hot tub was relaxing as well. Beautifully manicured landscaping throughout the property also elevated the ambiance.

Positive: The rooms were immaculate! They were very comfortable and welcoming. The amenities were nice. Negative: The directions from GPS take you different ways through the gated community; you have to turn around and go different ways as you cannot get through the gated areas as a hotel guest. That is the only difficult thing.

I wanted to share a pleasant customer service experience I had while staying at Marriott Manor at Ford's Colony in Williamsburg, VA last week. I made my reservation online for the stay, and through the process of attempting to change the room accommodations from a king bed room to two queens, I inadvertently changed the number of nights I needed for lodging. Upon arriving there along with my sister and speaking with Eric at Registration about my reservation for the two nights, and checking on having an adjoining room on the 2nd night night to our family members who were scheduled to arrive the next day, we learned that not only was our reservation only for one night, but there were no rooms available on the 2nd night. I am extremely disappointed with my recent stay. As a Platinum Elite member, I did not receive any of the associated benefits, nor was I informed in advance that they would not be available. The lack of communication and acknowledgment was concerning. Additionally, housekeeping services were inadequate, as the bedsheets were not changed during our stay. Overall, the level of service did not meet expected standards. We were in town for a soccer tournament and experienced weather-related cancellations beyond our control. Despite this, I was informed that because I was eight minutes past the cancellation deadline, no exception could be made. The rigid enforcement of the policy, particularly given the circumstances and my loyalty status, was disappointing. This experience did not align with

We stayed at a 1 Bedroom, it had an electric fireplace, a jacuzzi tub for two, and two TVs (one in the living room and one in the bedroom.) The 1 bedroom units are all located on a different road, that’s not the same as the 2 bedroom units. The gym is located in the same building as the indoor pool and hot tub, which is the same building you go to check-in. They have plenty of snacks for you to purchase, including alcohol, ice cream, and much more! There are roll-in showers in the locker room, the lockers are a bit tricky to use, and the sauna has a 15 min. sand clock mounted on the wall for you to use. Great staff, Sherry was super helpful.
