Marriott Marquis San Diego Marina

We got a room on the 12th floor (the elevators are super fast). It's one of the rooms at the very point end of the building. It's very oddly shaped with a concrete pillar and pretty small. Comfortable bed, nice shower, decent view. It has two balconies; one at either end of the room. I do wish that hotels would provide more than one towel bar for couples. Also a couple of hooks at the vanity to hang a toiletries bag (especially since there is very little counter space in the bathroom) A very nice property overall. Great location relative to the bay and the Gaslamp Quarter of San Diego.

Went here and stayed 1 night for a quick business trip. I loved the hotel. Excellent service, friendly, quick check in. Good price for what you receive in return. Very clean rooms. Comfy beds. Highly recommend!

Great views and comfort, but watch out for extra charges!I recently stayed at the San Diego Marriott Marquis and Marina. While the hotel itself is very nice, I encountered an issue that significantly impacted my experience.Despite having booked and fully prepaid my stay through Trip.com, the hotel attempted to charge me an additional $45 per day plus tax for the so-called "Destination Fee" at check-in. After contacting the hotel, they refunded the fee after multiple letters and two weeks.This seems to reflect a policy of charging the Destination Fee by default, regardless of whether it has already been prepaid through third-party booking platforms. I worry that many guests either don't notice the charge or aren't aware that it may already be included in their booking.That being said, break

I stayed at the Marriott Marquis San Diego for a conference. Everyone associated with the hotel, from the front desk staff to the event staff to the housekeepers provided excellent service. I had lunch at the Marina Kitchen and the food and service was excellent. My group came back later in the evening for dessert and drinks and again, received excellent service. The managers, Sarah and Steve checked on our group a few times and created a welcoming environment for our group to enjoy the evening. We had a great time and appreciate the attentiveness of the managers and servers. I will definitely be back!

Daniela & Carlos were excellent at the front desk. Daniela was kind enough to introduce us to M Club. This was added bonus when traveling for a work trip with my wife and infant son. They were both kind and attentive. The whole staff was great and courteous. Carlos provided a small credit due to wi-fi issues which was nice to see. Berkeley in the valet services was also kind and helpful. Overall, the hotel was great, location a plus being by the water and this is a nice hotel to amenities onsite. I wish I would have checked out the Top Golf simulator. :)
