Manor Motel

My wife and I were coming to Ashlan for plays. We were looking for inexpensive motels. We need ia place to park our small 16' trailer. The manager, Dee, said that she thought she had a place that would fit our trailer, but in case it didn't fit, she walk the nearby streets to confirm there was no parking limit if we had to park our trailer on the street. When we got there for an early check in, she was very welcoming and gave as an upgraded Room. The new housekeeper, Vanessa, was also very friendly and cheerful.||It is a quaint 1940 ish era motel. Our room was updated to modern décor and very comfortable. The grounds are well kept, with nice garden sitting area. It is an easy 1/2 mile walk to the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. We had a delightful time.

I was pleasantly surprised by the way the inside of the rooms looked, they all have been updated and they were very nice inside, not too mention the manager was very helpful, Jim had the heater on in the room and everything was clean and the price was very reasonable, almost to good to be true especially for the location. It's too bad there weren't any good plays this year, normally one of my favorite things to do, but that has nothing to do with the motel .I love the idea of having a place to cook because I am picky about the food I can eat and I love to cook:) so definitely a plus. Not to mention I was able to have a room with a bathtub and they even had a BBQ that we were able to borrow. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice place to rent for a night

Last night of a very long drive across the United States, looking for a pet friendly place besides Motel 6 and Red Roof Inn! Took a chance on this place, had no idea what w d be getting into and was totally taken back! What a wonderful place! They are remodeling and are about 50% done the lady told me. She upgraded us from the queen room to the king room, I opened the door and was so surprised, it was wonderful! Old unit all redone, kept the old style in place but absolutely perfect!! The side door opened up to a little garden area and our dog got to run around without his leash. This was truly a great place to stay and hope to come back some other time to explore the area. Thank you for a great stay!!

Stayed here recently for a few nights on the eclipse weekend. We were called on the way in by the front desk just as a courtesy to let us know that our room was ready. When we arrived, the lady at the front desk was cheerful and got us checked in quickly and answered some questions we had about the area. The room was clean. This is an older hotel, but the room didn't feel completely run down or neglected at all. There's an ac, a small fridge, a microwave and coffee pot in the room. The bed was comfortable and it was really nice to be able to park right in front of our room. It's a short distance from downtown Ashland and honestly you can't beat their price. Our coffee pot broke during our visit, just wouldn't brew coffee, and when we returned to our room later that day it had been replace

I came up from the Bay Area with my dog for a hiking and theater trip. Jim, the innkeeper, was such a terrific guide and just a joy to be around. The room was clean and cozy. The kitchen was well-equipped. The location was perfect. I will definitely come back here and I'm especially excited for the winter ski vacation plans I know are in the works.
