Manhattan Broadway Hotel

This hotel was great for 4 nights - it's perfectly located a 5 minute walk if that from Times Square and is surrounded by Subway stations. There's plenty of great food places nearby and is only a short walk from most Broadway theatres. We also went to concert at Madison Square Garden and only had a 10 minute walk there, if that. Couldn't recommend the location for the price you pay enough.||The hotel itself is a little basic, it's small (including the lift which is slow and tiny) and our room didn't have a window which wasn't a nice vibe. However the AC worked, there was plenty of space and it was very clean. Housekeeping came in on almost all of the days and provided fresh towels and made up our bed. Was a bit in two minds about staying here. Reviews aren't great.||But here is my experience. From the outside and all the scaffolding it does not look great and neither does the tiled floor and half tiled walls. Looks a little like a room in Amsterdam where you can get "Services". Of course I have only seen this form the outside in Amsterdam!||Check-in was smooth. Went up to my room and the room does not match the the hotel. Bed was very comfy and good pillows. Good shower and nice bathroom.||Overall the price I paid and the location. I would stay here again. You only sleep in the room so did not spend much time there. But I felt safe and would stay here again.

Wasn't sure what to expect at this budget hotel. But upon arrival the front desk staff was friendly and helpful, I was able to store my luggage early. The hotel room was tiny but very clean and even though my bed was a twin it was surprisingly comfortable. I have to say the TV was the smallest I have ever seen in a hotel but who comes to NYC to watch TV? My only peeve was there were no washcloths in the bathroom to wash my face with and the towels were thin and small. All in all if you're used to luxury this ain't the place for you but if you want somewhere to sleep and get a good night's rest this will work.

Location is central without having to be in the obnoxious times square hubbub.Check in was simple (and early) with friendly staff. My bathroom toilet had a minor issue and the maintenance woman quickly arrived and fixed it with a sense of humor. I was on the first floor and had no street noise at all. A/C unit worked well and was quiet. some scaffolding outside building so no curbside appeal - but its NY- where isnt there scaffold? Gyanna was reception member I had the most contact with and she was always helpful and friendly. My room was a single (queen) and felt like a cozy dorm room. Perfect for 1. Bathroom was clean and good water pressure and temps.

Don't let 1st appearances put you off! If you are looking for a clean, comfortable, quiet place to lay your head, this location is great. Though some rooms lack windows, the friendly and helpful staff more than make up for it. The room I stayed in had 2 full beds and 2 bunk beds. It was extremely roomy for a New York hotel room. It is called the Doxi for a reason. The hallways are very narrow and I had ordered two mobility scooters. Even though there was virtually no place to store them, the staff accommodated me and my mom. I cannot say enough how helpful and courteous the staff were. I will definitely stay there again and again and again!
