Stayed 3 nights in 2 rooms (5002 and 4216 I think) for mid winter break. Everything was ok,not quite the level I'm used to from other Mandarin hotels though. There was no availability for early check in or room upgrade with Amex bc the hotel were busy, it happens. Unfortunately, the room quality was not consistent between our two rooms: My father's room had a Bose radio, ours did not, my father's room received a tower of pastries with the welcome tea, we got 2 small cookies 1 of which was broken. There was a noticeable smell (kind of like cat urine) in our room 5002 and there was a large stain on the carpet in from of the bathroom doors, hotel was booked so didn't bother asking to change rooms but kept forgetting to ask for room deoderizer. We requested mini fridges for both rooms and whil

Our recent stay was a perfect example of what true luxury hospitality looks like. When we arrived on Saturday, we experienced a situation that, while unfortunate, appeared to be an internal staffing issue. It initially impacted my wife and me, and naturally, it wasn’t the first impression we expected. However — what truly defines a world-class hotel is not whether challenges arise, but how leadership responds. By Sunday, the Directors, Management Team, Executive Office, and Guest Relations team personally stepped in. The sincerity of the apologies, the professionalism, and the appreciation they expressed for our feedback were remarkable. We genuinely felt heard. From that point forward through our departure on Thursday, the experience was nothing short of spectacular. The attention to

I booked Mandarin Oriental Manhattan through the Fine Hotels program at American Express, which came with many perks (e.g., noon check in, 4pm late check out, $100 hotel credit, upgraded room, breakfast for two). My daughter checked in and she was welcomed by name with an upgraded, Hudson River view, high floor room, jasmine tea and fruit. The breakfast for two (up to $90) was a great way to start the day. The dining room has incredible views and wide selection of healthy, savory and healthy breakfast options. The nightly turn down service with slippers, mats and treats by our bed made us feel extra special. High end amenities from the Shops at Columbus Circle (Diptyque lotion, chocolates by La Maison du Chocolat Paris). Spacious shower, double sinks, tub overlooking Hudson (with bath salt

Service was excellent befitting of a five star hotel. The letdown was breakfast service. There was a clear lack of staff in the dining room and an average menu.

This was an amazing hotel to stay in for my work trip. I wish I got to enjoy the hotel longer! I want to specifically call out 3 individuals: Dustin at the front desk was such a joy! We had a hiccup with the first room I was staying in, and he was efficient in making it right, and helping me move to a new room seamlessly. Just a very kind and hospitable person all around. John at the restaurant was the best breakfast server. He has such an infectious, positive energy, and made my breakfast experience one to remember. He is such a gem to the MO experience and I want him to be recognized! Lastly Alex in security - left my kindle behind in one of the rooms. He promptly handled finding my item, was super gracious on the phone, and handled overnighting my kindle back to me for my next trip c
