Customer Reviews
Stayed at the resort. The rooms are clean and the location is great. The staff is however okay. They threatened us for canceling our already paid reservation because they thought we will be making noise after 10pm. We received a message before quiet hours regarding noise and it was not a warning or a request instead they said we will cancel the reservation. This was their very first message to us even before quiet hours i.e 10pm. There were a bunch of people blasting music in the pool area and may be they confused us with them but that was also before 10 pm. But there was no need of threatening, a request would have enough to keep it down after 10. Something that we didn’t appreciate at all. Even after that, We tried to close all the doors to avoid any noise to go out if we cook or talk bu
Makai Club is the best place we have stayed in Princeville to date. The staff is very accommodating, the grounds are well maintained clean, the units are modern and spotless, and the housekeeping staff is wonderful. When we arrived, we had traveled for over 18 hours due to delayed flights and rebookings, and when we arrived late that night, the staff helped us get checked in, gave us the minimum information we needed, and then told us to stop by the next day when convenient to complete our check-in and orientation. I believe you won't find a better place to stay.
We had a great stay in Kauai. The place feels like a small resort with a cozy cottage vibe. It was clean, comfortable, and very well located. It was excellent for our family, especially for my child, who really enjoyed the pool. The main issue during our stay was the check-in process. There was poor communication between the resort administration and the Airbnb management, which caused a long delay and unnecessary stress. Unfortunately, the resort staff was not very helpful during this time. Overall, the place itself is lovely, and the issue was related to communication and administration, not the property.
We really like this place. The unit is quiet and comfortable and it has everything we need. It is close to a shopping center, including a Foodland grocery store. We booked this unit using a time share exchange, but we still had to pay a $347.37 resort fee (I think that includes the tax on the resort fee). That seems excessive to me and therefore this resort gets 3 stars instead of 5.
Friendly check-in staff. Well maintained grounds. Pool and hot tub are small (normal house size) but not crowded. (A few tiles missing in pool area). Great quiet location overall. Condos are older but well cared for. We did have an electrical issues in the unit we stayed in (801). Had only 4 stairs in front ( back porch was handicapped accessible). Lemons available in front of condo doors!
