1 Hotel Hanalei Bay

The hotel itself, rooms and location are absolutely top notch! And the top restaurant and bar food was super nice and tasty! Views are stunning.However, our checkin experince was the worst I have ever seen in any hotel ever. I booked a room at 9am for the same day and up until 8:30 PM we could not check in. Nothing was offered to us by the receptionist, not even a free drink or water at the bar or so while we waited with our luggage and watched people eat in the booked out restaurants.This checkin experience was not worthy of a hotel in that price range and class and initially spoiled the 5 night stay we had.

This hotel is beyond spectacular. It’s hard to express adequately the beauty that surrounds you at every turn. The rooms are gorgeous and the beds are comfortable. The pool is amazing and the private beach is breathtaking. With all of this to take in, I must say, the most unbelievable part that was a breath of fresh air in this day and age was the genuine attention from the staff. The service was incredible from everyone, but most of all from Zane Knochel and Edward Binder. These guys went above and beyond to take care of my wife and two daughters. They found my girls two pool toys, provided my 2 year old with diapers when she ran out, had blankets delivered to the room, and even went so far as to give me his number in case it didn’t all work out. Words can barely describe the incredible vacation we just experienced at 1 Hotel Hanalei Bay. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. We were welcomed at the gate and greeted at the arrival area with leis before being escorted to reception. The property is absolutely stunning. Gabriella assisted us with check-in and was a total delight. She provided a welcome drink, a thoughtful tour of the property, and personally showed us to our room. The accommodations were stunning—spacious, beautifully decorated, and incredibly comfortable. The bathroom in our room was as big as our first Brooklyn apartment. I'll never forget that shower. Pro tip, leave your curtains open at night, because waking up to the moonlit peaks of Hanalei Bay at 3am is a memory I will never forget. The res

The views at this hotel were absolutely out of this world and the highlight of our stay. We spent most of our time at the adults-only pool relaxing on a daybed and taking it all in… truly stunning. Food at Welina Terrace was excellent. Service was great as well, with standouts including Susan from 1 Kitchen, Eddie the bellman (make sure to ask him for some amazing local food recommendations), Mahina at the adult pool, Ryan and Carlos (both bartenders), the wonderful woman server from NY at The Sandbox, and Lauren from the spa (a facial on a rainy day was a real treat). Overall, an unforgettable stay and we would absolutely return.

It’s in a gorgeous location, beautiful peaceful environment. Very nice and friendly personnel, but it lacks of its high hospitality standards. It’s sharing public beach and lots of strangers walk easily into public pool and hot tubs, pool attendees do not check their bracelets. Even Conceiege of the hotel admitted it’s a huge problem. And they do not prevent it. Anyways I got some UTI and my husband skin rush from sitting in the hot tub. Be aware if you are pregnant or weak immune system, I would not recommend to go in their pools or hot tubs. I tried to reach managers of the 1 HOTEL multiple times to file a complain, no one returned my calls. That tells it all.
