Mahaffey's Moosehorn Resort

Had a great time at Moosehorn. The property is beautiful and well kept. Sean, Ethan and Josh are very nice and went out of there way to help us with everything from the dock to cabin. The private launch is very convenient. The crib dock is top notch when the wind came up. My son really enjoyed the beach and the amenities offered. The cabins are spaced nicely for privacy. It is a great place to stay and enjoy Kab!

We only share reviews for exceptionally good or poor experiences. Our experience here was overwhelmingly positive. We have stayed with them a couple times now both for family vacations and fishing trips and I can easily say they do an amazing job at running this family owned resort. The hospitality they provide is great. My father is handicapped and they go above and beyond to make his experience positive and provide appropriate accommodations. Sean (owner) is often out and about and assisting customers which is nice to see. Josh is extremely helpful and always assisting with boat docking, fish cleaning, and many other misc tasks. They have a nice docking system which provides three points of contact to prevent boat damage even during stormy weather.

We loved our time at Moosehorn! Sean, Amy, Josh, and Ethan went out of their way to make our stay comfortable, relaxing, and fun. We loved our cabin (Birch) and the view was breathtaking! We also rented their pontoon and it was perfect for fishing and sightseeing throughout Voyageurs National Park/Kabetogama Lake too. We highly recommend Mahaffey's Moosehorn Resort!

While we've been going up to Kab for over 30 years we started going to Moosehorn 3 years ago as it was a better fit for our family vacation. We love staying at Moosehorn and appreciate everything Sean, Josh and now Ethan do for us! A great place!

The owners at Mahaffey’s have it down; helpful, friendly, yet let you be. They treated us like family and provided an excellent environment. The cabins are clean and well equipped, plus the beds are comfortable. We especially appreciated the safe docking system for our boat. We reserved our week for the next year, when we checked out!
