Love Hotels Tomahawk at Lake Mohawksin WI

The beds were relatively comfortable and the one staff member was friendly, but that's only positive thing I can say. The pictures they show on the website and the reality are two completely different things. The rooms are dark. I plugged in the only lamp in the room and the outlet moved in the wall and the lamp flickered on and off, so I unplugged it again, fearing a short in the outlet. There was a unopened bag of microwave popcorn on the floor that had been there for quite a while and a used plastic fork under a chair. The two chairs were so stained and disgusting that I didn't want to lay anything on them, much less sit on them. No pictures on the walls. Well, the lobby does not look like the picture on the website. The room had a smell in it that bother us. The sink drain plugs were not hooked up so the sink would hold water and slow leak out. The shower Curtin fell of when I went to close it. The way the lobby looked I did not see a clean area to even think of servicing food or even eating food there. The ac unit made noise to where it was had to sleep.

Saturday September 13th, I booked a room through Expedia for a reasonable price. We arrive and the main office door was locked. A person comes over from a camp fire in the middle of the parking lot, he asked if we have reservations. I replied, yes we do. He unlocks the door then after quite some time he says they can't accept what Expedia has to offer then charges me another $110 extra. So now my total came out to be $219 for a $50 room. I had no other options. The guy was totally rude the whole encounter. The entire hotel from the outside perspective was terrible. Wall paneling in the middle of parking lot, nails and debris all over. We go in the room, garbage was still in the room. The bed wasn't properly made. Terrible pillows, no blankets, just a top plastic sheet. We ask for a blanket

Great stay, room was clean, staff was very friendly and helpful! Very much enjoyed our stay and much better then the last fall ride when we stayed and the staff was very unprofessional and room was messy. Now for sure we will be back to stay more often

Clean rooms, close to downtown. Very friendly people! Would rate this hotel as a place I would stay again, 5 out of 5 stars for sure! 👍🏻
