Log Canoe Inn

We spent 2 nights in the Mary Rider Room and loved it. Very nicely and comfortably furnished and beautifully decorated. The workmanship in the whole inn is impressive. The mattress was excellent, bathroom is large and modern with a wonderful shower. The location is scenic and quiet, and there's coffee, tea, waters, drinks, and snacks downstairs in a very pleasant sitting room. It really is a great inn and a really nice place to stay in St Michaels. Very convenient to Talbot Street with its shops and restaurants. Highly recommended.

Amazing! The first night we were the only folks in the home and that was a real treat! We enjoyed the views from the living room and the beautiful Christmas decorations. I love having ice in my cup at all times and this home had a great ice maker. ( made Chick fi la type ice). Love the little convenience bar. I would love to get a few friends snd rent the entire home) I would love to come back and stay another time.

I hate writing negative comments but this situation merits it. The location is the best!...The Lark suite is nice! But then you have Higgins yacht yard feet/inches from your suite doing whatever they want early in the morning. The yacht yard is owned by the same people who own log canoe inn. You would think that the owner would communicate with the yacht yard on hours they could be loud but that was not the case. We had a 4 day weekend before my wife would go under intensive surgery to fix her legs and everything was fine till 800am monday morning when the yacht people came in blaring music and loud trucks and equipment. It got worse!...Tuesday morning they woke us again at 700am. This is NOT ACCEPTABLE ....paying all that money to have blaring music and loud trucks wake you?? This i

Wonderful place! We stayed in the Lark, which was very tastefully decorated in a classic and nautical style. We made good use of its small private porch with a beautiful view of the harbor. The snacks and amenities in the main house were also very appreciated. Won’t hesitate to stay there again on our next visit to St. Michael’s.

The house is in a great location and offers good amenities overall. The only issue we experienced was noise from the room above us. Because the house is older, every footstep carried through the floor, and someone walking around late into the night made it difficult to sleep. If you’re a light sleeper, I wouldn’t recommend staying in the first-floor Mystery Room. I don’t believe this would be an issue elsewhere on the property, but it did impact our rest during the stay.
