We had a nice one night stay at Little Charlie. We came to NYC for an event at the Japan Society so it was very convenient to stay here. The neighborhood also has some charming spots to eat or grab coffee. The lobby was cozy with comfy furniture, lovely aromatherapy, and soft music. Check in was easy and the front desk attendant was cheerful. The room was small and the king sized bed took up the majority of the room, but it was totally perfect for a one night stay in NYC. The water pressure in the shower was not great but that was the only reason the room got a four and not a five. We would definitely stay here again. 🥰
It’s always really nice to stay here. The bedding is so soft and cozy, service is simple and straight to the point. It is a bit noisy which I don’t mind, because I’m a native NYer. The hot water was not constant, so that was a bit of an inconvenience, but besides that, I enjoy the ambiance of this little hotel. Everyone is nice, especially the housekeepers. The jazz and the scent diffuser in the lobby really makes it feel welcoming. Be warned, if you are expecting 5 star quality in the rooms and experience, this hotel is not for you. You will hear the outside streets of NY (which are inevitable), you will hear housekeeping in the morning and the doors of the nearby rooms, the rooms ARE really small & compact, AND the breakfast area is limited with it being mainly croissants (the almond cr
Little Charlie was perfect for our two night trip to the city for a concert at Madison Square Garden. It is tiny and quaint, in the best ways. Staff was very chill, room was clean, water was available, room key needed to get into the building after 8pm. Our room, as expected was a little pod room, but so cozy. The king bed was tucked up into the window with a city view. Water took a bit to get hot. Use the sound machine!! I’m more used to outside noise at night but hearing people walk around wakes me more quickly (as a mom, I’m programmed to hear that) 😛 - overall, great experience.
We needed a room at the last minute, due to a snow storm. The price was very good for 2 nights. The room with 2 Queen beds was small, but fine. The clerk who was there for check-in was very sweet. The breakfast that was included was nice, not fancy, but certainly very good. The location is convenient. The room was clean and they provided an abundance of towels. They could add a trash can in the bedroom, but it wasn’t a big deal not to have one.
We stayed for five nights with a room on the street side. The room was fine, but the soundproofing needs improvement. With or without windows, it makes no difference; the traffic noise is very unpleasant at night for light sleepers.||The “continental” breakfast mentioned on the website would need to vary a bit. It consisted daily of the same pastries and only apples. ||Otherwise, no complaints. The place is clean, the staff is friendly, and the minimalist decor is nice.
