Life House, South of Fifth

This place is a hidden gem! It wasn’t until we arrived in South Beach did we realize that this place is perfectly located. The area is super walkable to many great restaurants in the area, Ocean Dr, and the beach! It felt safe and secure as the airbnb is a cozy hotel unit. It was clean and smelled fresh upon entering. Round of applause to the staff! They were so friendly, attentive, flexible, and made sure we were enjoying our stay. Will definitely be returning to Niccolo’s and The Fifth Hotel next time I go to South Beach!

Location is absolutely perfect, 5 minutes from the beach and restaurants. Close enough to the action and far enough from the bars to get some sleep at night. Patio out front was great spot to rally the troops before activities, the double bed bunk beds are perfect and comfortable. Only down fall is a humidity smell in the room, which they try to mitigate with a dehumidifier. Regardless I would definitely come back to this hotel, and my friends are planning to return here next year.

Rooms are updated and looks pretty good on pictures. But reality is different: #102- smell of mold will hits your nose when entering the room. Filters are full of dust. Bathroom towels where dirty and gray. There is no reception desk, no onsite support or help. Doors, walls and ceilings has no insulation, so you don’t want to meet there with people who party all night, it is waste of money and cause lack of sleep. Specifically rooms at the first floor. We paid basically for shower, because these kids drinking, running everywhere all night till 4:30 and making all different noises above your ceiling… we had to ask them 4 times and they didn’t care( it wasn’t a spring break time for the information) . I do not recommend this hotel at all for anyone who need a bit of relax during nights.

Our stay was lovely! The bunk beds had generous sized mattresses. The bed in the bedroom was super comfortable (beds are not always comfortable for me so when they are they really stand out)! Clean, quiet, no weird smells or fragrance, sink is in separate area then the toilet and shower which is convenient. Luggage storage on site. 1 block to the beach! “Local House” (cafe) is right around the corner. We went there 3 times for brunch. So nice it was that close. Will stay here again!

Great location with lots of food spots within walking distance. Beach is also walking distance. Good host and staff. They were responsive and helpful. They allowed us to leave our bags while we waited for the room to be ready. Room was as advertised. Only thing I'd like to see is a fridge and microwave available in the room. We had an issue with our room but it was resolved quickly and the owner personally reached out to us to make sure everything was ok.
