Lido Motel lake George

Booked this room with my husband and toddler. Wanted to go on vacation a day early and liked the price. Never again will I stay here. When we got to our room the ac was not on and it was 90 degrees and humid in the room. There were stains on the blankets and on the ceiling. The noise from upstairs was so loud from people or kids stomping all night my daughter could not sleep. It was unbelievably loud and annoying that at 9pm there was that much stomping that it was shaking the room. Not to mention the bathroom window had the handle taken off so you couldn’t close it and there were bugs coming in. If we had the money we would have taken the loss and went somewhere else.

I have very mixed feelings about this place. I’ve been coming to Lake George for about 6 years, and I’ve always stayed at the Lido. One of the biggest perks is its location—it’s within walking distance to shops and restaurants but set back on a quieter road (though it can get very dark at night). The rooms are spacious, stocked with the basics like soap, towels, and shampoo, plus they have Roku. The pool is clean (though unheated), parking is easy, and check-in is simple. Another plus is that it’s one of the more affordable hotel options in the area. That said, the property really hasn’t seen much improvement over the years. Stayed at the Lido Motel just one night on a quick stopover. The rooms were clean and what seemed updated. Comfortable king bed and what I believe was a 50 inch smart tv. The bathrooms tho could use some updating for sure. Seemed to have a lil mold in the tub area and the bathroom ran for about 10 minutes after you flushed it. The hotel has a small outdoor pool which was not open in May. Grounds were in ruff shape I don't think they do much during the off season which May is for the Lake George area. The location is one block off the main street that all the shops and restaurants are on. Very convenient you can walk and never have to use your car. Do NOT stay here if you value yourself!! The minute I walked in the man at the desk (older bald man with a long beard) started speaking to me like I was an idiot. I was polite and went to pay the early check in fee and he asked me how much money I had on my person, that is not your business! Then I had reminded him I asked for a room on the ground floor in advance when he started bringing me upstairs. I had a physically disabled family member with me that can't climb many stairs. He legitimately did not care and yelled at me for asking, even telling me it was my fault he didn't have a room downstairs!! HEARTLESS!! Then the manager told him to give me one downstairs and MAGICALLY there was one available. The room had no working AC in 90 degree weather, a TV that shuts off whenever it feels

Easy Easy Easy check in. FIZZI communicated with me as necessary all aspects of room (before and after check in). Was attentive to my needs. Motel has areas to congregate and an eating area (tables and chairs). Location was one block away from main street. LOVELY PREMISES
