Lexington by Hotel RL Miami Beach

Loved the location.. right on the beach, great outside pool with cold drinks from the bar. Plenty of room to spread out, lots of lounge chairs, decks.. My room was beyond comfortable. Great sheets, cold air conditioner, spacious room, lots of pillows. I felt safe traveling alone. Great price.. Explored the town, and Lil Havana. Great vacation 👌

Positive: The staff were helpful, the location and price were great. It was nice to be on the beach and have beach chairs and umbrellas available. Housekeeping did a wonderful job. I would recommend this hotel only for the folks on a tight budget. Negative: There was construction going on the whole time we were there. The water was turned off for one night, the ice machine was broken on our floor for half the time, the pool was under construction while we were there.

The location isn’t very convenient if you want to enjoy Miami Beach, as it’s far from everything. The reception staff don’t really understand what you’re trying to explain and aren’t very helpful, except for one girl who speaks Spanish. They charge high fees, and there is no breakfast. The rooms are fine, but they put us in one with an internal connecting door to another occupied room, and you could hear everything... Overall, the service is poor, especially at the reception.

**WORTH READING*** This has been one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. When I arrived, the room looked dirty, and aside from the bed being made, it clearly wasn’t properly cleaned. On top of that, the night manager mistakenly charged my card over $400 for parking, despite the fact that I was already paying $370+ for the room. He claimed he immediately refunded the money, but when I checked out, I was told no refund had actually been processed until the GM handled it later. I spent almost two weeks going back and forth with the staff. First, they refunded just $30, then told me they would only return $336 because of that initial refund—forcing me to send receipts, screenshots, and proof that they were consistently giving me wrong information. In the end, they still never refund

I don't care for hotels that surprise me upon checkin with a freaking "resort fee." That's a shady way of doing business. You can't tell me up front when I book and pay for the room??? There's another fee I have to pay in order to get into the room when I arrive??? A resort fee? And, I'm told there's a resort fee because "the room is equipped with 2 bottles of water and I can use a beach chair." $33. I'm only here 12 hours. When a guest is only here 12 hours the "resort fee" should be waived. Plus, this place that charges a "resort fee"...does not serve breakfast. How do you call yourself a "resort"....when you don't serve breakfast. Roadside motels in rural America serve a continental breakfast, but this "resort" doesn't??
