Legacy Inn

I gave this place a one start for a couple of reasons . The first is I am in the back in the cabins , which have bot been updated since 1983 or so , furniture appears to be free stuff from off the side of the road , the beds are just mattresses on the floor. Ceiling caving in and front yard looks like a junk yard with spare tires piled up on side, a junk trailer right at front door , just a real mess . The internet doesn't work in our cabin , which we have brought up to the office many many times ( They don't seem to care because of my family circumstances of having to get help from the county for me and my family because we hit hard times due to having 3 heart attacks in the past 2 years ) They act like because we are getting help that I didn't pay taxes for the past 35-40 years so they t

Despite the "no vacancy" sign as we drove by, I was able to book a room. The owner was super nice and friendly. The room was basic--two not overly comfortable beds, nice TV and fridge. The AC not only worked but regulated exactly the temp you adjusted it to. Plenty of hot water and basically clean. No frills. Bring you own shampoo. Walls are very thin, but it wasn't overly noisy. Overall ok for the price.

Me and my husband with our 2 kids booked a room here. Once we read the reviews we were weary of staying here. Once we got there we knew there was no way we would. It's old. Dirty. Scary looking. The hallway to check in smells like pee. Disgusting. So glad they didn't charge my credit card. Expensive also for what this is. Not even 50 a night is reasonable. Heck not even free.

I arrived at the hotel with an open mind seeing the mixed reviews but my worst nightmare was is place is disguisting. The room was filthy. It looked like it hadn't been vacuumed in quite a long time. When I walked I could see the dust rising. The sheets were dirty no stained. The walls had dripping stains on them, the couches were filthy, the bathroom was unusable and there were no plates or pans in the room. There are questionable people that live there and hang outside the room window smoking all day. The pool had black mold in it and would not allow my children to swim in it. Please do not go here!!

We landed here as we wanted to check out the Winter Carnival in Lake George and this was literally the very last room available in Lake George the weekend we wanted to go. And it was inexpensive...as well it should be. Where do I begin? Hmmm.... Perhaps with entering the room which registered 82 degrees on the thermostat? I was worried for the price we were going to be cold. Or maybe with the wooden, deteriorating steps up to the room with too high risers making it difficult to haul luggage up without hurting oneself? Then there was the full time resident that spent day in and day out smoking outside which smoke managed to waft into the rooms from wherever he was puffing at all times... made more annoying as we tried to keep the door and windows open to keep from roasting alive? The
