Lazy Bear Log Cabins

In August of 1922, I stayed in a one bedroom cabin and my cousins each rented cabins. In total, we had four cabins. Each cabin is newly and fully remodeled. Everything is new and top shelve. We rented small boats and also a pontoon boat. The fishing was great. There is much to do in the area if you choose to leave the resort. The game room is spacious with great games as well as a large game table to play cards or board games. The owners are not on the property but they are local and available in a moment when needed. One of the cousins couldn’t figure how to turn on the gas to the fireplace. They called the owner and he responded quickly. This is my go to resort for a private retread and, now, our cousins annual week!! I grew up in Wisconsin and am now retired in Florida.

Great place! I would highly recommend Lazy Bear Log Cabins - we all had such a wonderful time there! I guess I’m the lazy bear, lol, because we visited back in August and it’s taken me several months to do this review. We stayed in the Brother Bear cabin, while other family members were at the Mama Bear and the Big Bear cabins. All of them were special, each unique. They are true log cabins, but the nice part is that the interiors have some modern touches to keep up with the times. Pretty good fishing too, lots of smallmouth bass and panfish right off the dock and by boat. We were glad they had boats available to rent, we thought the rates were fair. Place was beautiful! Comfortable and pleasant! Id definitely be back. The bed was not very comfortable for me. But everyone else liked it. Caught lots of fish off the pier, enjoyed the fire pit, complimentary fish house for preparing the fish you caught. Love it!! They even boat rentals for the renters only.

5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ !! RECOMMENDED!! Brought family up from South suburbs of Chicago for a weekend stay. Beautiful property. Maintained! Lots to do and see. Game room is fabulous!! Beautiful area to hike and ATV. Fishing on the river was fantastic and super convenient. RECOMMENDED VACATION LOCATION!

Loved our stay at the lazy bear! Camp fires, boating, and the cabins. We will be back!
