In March 2004, a biting late-winter wind swept through Potter County, carrying the scent of pine and oncoming snow. Christopher Gola steered his car along the winding Route 6, the headlights cutting through the darkening Pennsylvania Wilds as he and Rachel Friar made their way toward Coudersport. Their destination was the Laurelwood Inn & Steakhouse, a local landmark known for its rustic charm and hearty fare. As they pulled into the gravel lot, the warm glow from the steakhouse windows offered a sharp contrast to the stark, leafless trees surrounding the property. This is the steakhouse portion of our trip.. tucked behind The Laurelwood Inn and Steakhouse is their totally amazing steakhouse, unassuming and right on rt 6 in Coudersport. The food was amazing, the portions generous to say the least! And the price? Very reasonable. Our waitress Lilly was phenomenal. Would I drive 4 hrs to eat here again.. I would.|Spinach artichoke dip with home made chips, onion rings, lasagna with house salad, smoked Mac n cheese with bbq ribs, smoked wings and chicken strips w fries are just a sample of their menu.|If you are in Coudersport, this is definitely a must!

Great owner and Resturant for such a small town. Pricing is pretty rich for the premium meats but the quality is there. Had a couple great steaks over my 2 day stay and one of Chif Kris's specials. The room is typical for the road out here. Dated but fuctional. Bed was surprisingly nice and firm and the room was warm. They don't serve food until later so look for breakfast options around town. Or use your microwave.

Out of town per day...that's my reason for not going more often as an in Towner....service was wonderful pricing unbeatable around here. Grandson my hubby n I dinner date over the summer...6 yr old had steak salad special. Portion was huge under 15 dollars... We had an assortment of foods all delicious and took deserts to go.... Under 90 bucks... seriously can't beat it. Can't wait to go back. Amazing steak seafood n wings. ...thankyou.

This place is a great little motel. The rooms are clean and simple, but provide everything one would need for a quick stop at an excellent price. The community seems tight knit and welcoming and the steakhouse's food is very good and flavorful with great portions for the price (thank you, kitchen staff). Love that they serve a flat iron. The staff in the restaurant was also responsive, kind and communicative, shout out to both Chris and Lily (I think, sorry if I got your name wrong) who both clearly care about the work they are doing in the front of house. I would definitely give this place my business again.
